Sunday July 25th 1999:  MATCH AGAINST C4

                            First Game                                                                             Second Game
                               1st Match 2nd final match

Map: Bases_r

This match was a Ironglove league game, which was played on the Bases_r map.
[C4] Gave us one hell of a fight to the finish, and displayed some great Demoman pipebombing techniques.
For the first match we were caught off guard by some very fast capping by [C4], but we later made up for it with some nice work by our
rather cunning spies (John & Electrico). The second match was more of a deadlock with me having to once more drop to defence, thanks to my
wonderfully crap ping. Well played [C4], who showed very good sportsmanship.

Sunday August 8th 1999: MATCH AGAINST L.O.S

1st match In the middle of the second match, we all mysteriously lagged out, allowing the opposition to get capture points After the rest of EQX re-joined the game, we still caught up and won!

After match celebrations got a little bit out of hand....

Map: Bases_r

This match was a Ironglove league game, which was played on the Bases_r map.
This match we were told would be our toughest challenge, so we had to be mentally prepared for this one.
L.O.S, clearly showed a lot of arrogance over the course of the 2 games, and were clearly going to use
any method in order not to lose....
I dropped to defence as an engineer/soldier combo once again because of extremely bad lag, from the L.O.S server.
The first game was very tight, with some brilliant capping from Fragmutha in the last minutes of the game, giving us a
brilliant start.
The second game was where the problems began, L.O.S were clearly annoyed that we were leading once again, so
halfway through the second match when the scores were 40-30 to EQX, all of EQX's members suddenly lagged out, except myself...
When my screen unfroze I was startled to see that ALL of  L.O.S were still there, but I was the only person on my team! All of EQX had lagged out!
I also noticed that they were now ahead 60-40! (it was 40-30 to eqx before), so they were capping while we all mysteriously lagged out...
As the rest of EQX rejoined the game with L.O.S leading, Fragdaddy and Electrico demanded the game be restarted, but L.O.S were having none of that.
So, EQX carried on playing where we left of - 60-40 down, and having a lot of work to do.
The final score of that game was 120-110 to EQX, one of the most amazing capping I have ever seen in my life from Midi-Lad, Admiral,
John, and Fragmutha. Somehow we fought back from 60-40 down, to win 120-110.
At the end of the game there was some tension, as L.O.S said WE cheated....

Saturday August 21st 1999: MATCH AGAINST SG1

Image1.jpg (27528 bytes) Something bloody odd about their scores...
GRRrrrrrrrrr®

Friendly Match On Well/Well.

A rather odd match this one. We hadn't known what to expect from [SG] but they gave a very good fight.
I was partially er, drunk so I was totally useless on offence so I dropped to defence.
Theres not much to say about this game, the first match was a regular scoring match in which Dave & John annoyed [SG] silly.
The second match was rather odd, now take a look at the screenshots for the second match above - The individual scores for EQX
tally up logically for a 150points for EQX, but [SG]'s points don't.
During the second game we were so busy scoring and defending, that no-one noticed how [SG] managed to get 15caps past
our rather awesome defence...
Well played anyway [SG] :)
