The Millennium:- It seems to be spelt GREED, prior to the Eclipse, all you heard about was about special Rip Off events for both. From what I have heard of the Millennium is going be a huge rip-off everybody seems to be joining hands to see who can get the most out of the public. What is the Millennium? When does it start and when does it finish? Well I will tell you it will start when the people are gullible enough to pay through the nose for things like £100 for a night out at the pub with a load of people that you have never met before. I would suggest that if you are being asked double price, it's definitely a rip-off. The other thing is when does it end, even the Church have got it wrong, they are celebrating 2000 AD with thousands of candles etc. but no one has told them that the 2000 years is not up until end of 2000. I predict that lots of businesses will go to the wall through GREED. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, people are already saying, I am not paying that!!

The World Wide Web (WWW):- I am quite amazed at the amount of customers that have gone onto it in the last couple of years. We have changed our server and have now got our own Domain Name (redcove), we could have had magiccove, but decided that Red Cove is where all the office work is done. The existing server will be on line until January and I must say they have been very good over the last two years. But I liked the idea of having our own chosen name, and it was free. I shall be getting it up on the search engines soon, unfortunately the old one will still be around for a time. For the Web Experts, if you search on (Excite) for Magic Cove, Stan Marshall, Mawgan Porth, or Stan Magic you will come up with my revamped site. The NEW ADDRESS below and on all my headers, also has been updated with the Cornwall Connect link.

We have bought a new computer because my daughter wanted one, so I gave her my old one to give me the excuse to get a new beast. It's faster but does the same job at the end of the day. Nevertheless it's nice to have a new toy to play with now and again. We have picked up quite a few customers off the WWW over the last two years, we have averaged 1000 hits & E-Mails per year, I consider this to be quite good for a small site.

The Future:- It looks as though we will not be making any changes for next year. The site in front of us is up for sale at £250,000 it includes the bungalow and four letting chalets, any takers out there. I would have liked it a few years ago, but at that price, I would be dead by the time I had paid it off. I expect it to be under new ownership by next year we will see what happens, so far they have had no takers.

Bookings 2000:- Yes it's paid off, through not being greedy and being friendly to the happy people, Advance Bookings for 2000 have surpassed any other year. Our low season price of £5 per night for two adults is a good time to come. In general a phone call is all that is required, so you can see what the weather is doing before you make your mind up. If you require the Main Season, phone for availability or see the Web-Site for vacancies. It will be necessary to book up early for the School Holiday periods to save disappointment. Our Touring Caravan is for Hire at about double pitch fees, for your friends who do not have a caravan.
