House is set at
the east side of Edinburgh's New Town in a quiet residential street.
It is within ten minutes walk of Princes Street. On the map it is
just north of Princes Street's Waverley
Railway Station and five minutes walk from the Playhouse
Theatre. The old town is slightly further away but still within
walking distance.
The surrounding area provides many excellent pubs and restaurants serving a variety of good food, all within walking distance with many in Broughton Street. These include theme restaurants such as TGIF and The Hard Rock Cafe. Seafood is available at the restaurants in Leith. We provide information on most of them at the guest house. There is also a good choice of traditional and modern pubs in the area which are all well used by local residents and visitors.
East Claremont Street
Stuart House is also within walking distance of the Botanical gardens and many of Edinburgh's historic visitor attractions, museums, and shops. Casinos and Health clubs are available nearby, for those inclined to use them, and very soon a multi screen cinema with theme restaurant will be opened. All within walking distance.
Further afield are the Pentland Hills, River Forth with it's bridges and the Royal Yacht Britannia where the new ocean terminal is being built. Edinburgh boasts many Golf clubs in and around the city, but prior booking is always advisable. Check this link for a Pictorial Guide.
