Horses in North Wales, UK Our Aim is to Produce Exceptional Well Adjusted and Well Trained Horses |
Welcome to Siamber Wen We are lucky to live in a lovely spot nestling in the lee of the Clywdian Hills in North Wales. Our home originates from the 16th Century and was part of the Penbedw Estate. It was sold off as a working farm after the Second World War with a few hundred acres although now the house is set within the remaining seven acres. Flytir from Siamber Wen as a 2 year old Our hobby is breeding and training Icelandic Horses and we have eleven horses at home currently; from foals and in foal mares to riding horses at various stages of training. The horses all live out regardless of the weather. Foals are weaned within the herd and are socialized naturally by the older horses. They are all microchipped before weaning although as we have only two or so a year, the chances of our mixing them up are not high. We have owned horses for over twenty years and during the early 90s discovered the difficulties with saddle fit. After a great deal of research we decided to design our own saddle for our horses. This saddle is now made by an Icelandic Craftsman Saddler and is available as the Trapezius Saddle.
