THREE LONELY OLD MEN + ONE

A Happier Tale.

The Three Lonely Old Men

The three lonely old men, pictured above, are happy to announce that a few weeks ago, Alan Johnson became mobile again which meant, of course, that he was able to make his way to the Griffin once more to join the almost despairing threesome who have kept a steady, weekly vigil at the altar of the famous Porter brewing establishment. Much earlier this year and at the back end of the last, it really was a desperate situation when the lonely three were reduced to an even lonelier two for almost three months. Frank had deserted them for the sunnier climes of the Antipodes where he and his wife were visiting their son and generally touring the southern hemisphere.

With Frank back and Alan joining us, our cup runneth over. This does not of course mean that we are any less lonely - it just means that there are more of us to get to that hapless state. We will bite the bullet and continue the thankless task of keeping the corner seats warm on a Tuesday night. Please join us and come and taste some of the wonderful beer that is brewed on the premises. Cheers!
