Food at Wrenwood Hotel
Breakfast
We serve a traditional, fully cooked English Breakfast, consisting of Fruit
Juice, choice of Cereal, Bacon, Sausage, Fried Egg, Hash browns, Mushrooms,
Tomatoes and Courgettes when in season, followed by a selection of jams
and Marmalades with toast. There is a choice of teas and various infusions
or cona coffee to complement your meal. Alternatively, we can supply
a vegetarian or lighter breakfast should you so desire. Please let
us know your requirements either on arrival or on the previous evening.

Dinner
For our standard half board menu we offer a choice of two starters, followed
by choice of two main courses followed by dessert. There is a selection
of house wine available from the bar at £1.40 per glass or bottled
wines from our wine list. A pot of tea or coffee is also available as an
option at £1.20 per person.
We also offer a special dinner menu. This may be ether of an Eastern or
Western flavour. Besides offering a selection of French and English dishes
we can offer a range of Asian dishes personally cooked by Joe, who is Sri
Lankan, from mild Kormas to pungent Vindaloos, with vegetarians catered
for in both the Eastern and Western menu. The menu at £17.50 consists
of choice of aperitif prior to your meal, a wide choice of main course
with either bottled wine, Somerset cider or lager, followed by dessert
(or cheese and biscuits), cona coffee and mints with a choice of brandy,
armagnac, (arak with Asian meals) or liqueur to round off the meal. If
you have any special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian food, please
let us know and we shall do our best to cater for them. We shall shortly
have a separate menu page.

We also have a Drinks Licence and Comfortable
bar
We can therefore quite legally serve alcoholic drink at most times. We
have a choice of spirits, sherries, vermouths, ports, fine wines (by the
bottle) or house wines (by the glass). For that special occasion (How about
coming down for that Pink Anniversary?) we have a selection of champagnes
with a wide range of prices. One of our specialties is mango juice made
from Alfonso mangoes which is highly recommended as an alternative drink
for those who order Asian curries. In the summer we have tables and chairs
in the garden for serving food and drink. What could be better on a balmy
summer's evening than to quaff a glass of cool wine, cider or lager with
friends in the bar! The Sun Terrace is also licensed and on a warm summer's
evening you may take your drinks to relax with the setting sun.

Eating Out . . .
There are many excellent restaurants
within easy reach of Wrenwood Hotel. If you wish, we can reserve tables
for you at many of our favourite places in advance of your first day but
at the height of the season good restaurants need to be booked several
days in advance.
