Cup and Arrows!

Rackhir's Arrows

Rackhir's Arrows is a name given to this quiver of 6 red fletched arrows wherever they are found in the multiverse. On touching them the owner, upon a Luck roll (POWx5) will just 'know' their name.

These arrows can appear anywhere, even in the Young Kingdoms before Rackhir was even born!

The arrows can be shot from any bow and add 1% to the chance of a critical hit. That is an absolute 1% of the chance of a critical, they do not increase the chance to hit, nor is it a proportional increase.

If one's skill is 50% and one has a 5% chance of a critical, then once chance becomes 50% to hit and 6% chance of a critical. [If used in RQ, then they increase the chance to impale in the same way, ie 1%]

In Elric! use of the arrows increases one's chaos point total by 1 for each combat for which they are used. In RQ they have an aura of Chaos which can be sensed.

The Cup of Blood and Life

'From the Blood and Earth comes Life, embodied in the Strength of Grome and his Loins..'

This bowl is made of bronze and yet has the feel and texture of earthen clay. It has runes of Earth and Grome engraved and inscribed into it. The inside of the bowl is bloodstained.

The Cup of Blood and Life is a ceremonial relic of the worshippers of Grome which has fallen into the hands of heretics. It can be used by any creature who has a soul and can sing the praises of Grome. Even in unfriendly hands it offers worship to the Elemental Lord.

To use the Cup one must cut open a vein and bleed oneself into the bowl. The bowl can hold a full pint of blood, which can make the creature quite faint. [A sensible person would not perform this ceremony more than once a month.] As the blood drains into the walls of the bowl, which can take ten to fifteen minutes, the supplicant must offer prayers to Grome, praising his strength, wisdom and fertility. [As this happens the supplicant passes 6 MP to the bowl, 1 passes to Grome directly and the remaining 5 are added to the resevoir in the bowl.]

At any time, by calling on the Cup (by reciting the line above, perhaps) and touching the floor, the supplicant can be healed of damage, passed from the bowl through the Earth to the supplicant. The bowl need not be with the supplicant but simply lying on the earth anywhere. Both the bowl and the supplicant must be in the Young Kingdoms for this to happen.

[Damage is healed at the rate of 1 HP for 1 MP from the bowl's resevoir. All MP may be drained, or a partial amount. The bowl has no effective resevoir limit. Only one creature may have a resevoir in the bowl at any one point, and the resevoir may only be called upon by the person who sacrificed the blood. It is not possible to sacrifice the blood of any creature other than yourself, involuntary sacrifice is not successful. Use of the Cup increases the supplicants Balance total by 1 point.]

This Cup may be in the hands of Grome worshippers who may offer it's help to a creature working in their cause or it may be in the hands of any other individual.
