The faeries I sculpt are inspired mostly by Welsh folklore and the celtic
culture. I use polymer clay, as well as natural materials like acorns, conkers
etc. to complement them. Each sculpture is unique and never repeated and they
are intended to depict what real faeries are like as opposed to the popular
'Disney' portrayal. I do everything by hand, no moulds are used and each one is
named. I never set out with any definite plan of what I am going to make, I
simply grab a lump of clay and see what happens. I would like to think I am
influenced by unseen helpers, though they can sometimes be more of a hindrance.
