Yes, Telco's latest service allows you to register mobile phone numbers on our system and make calls, simply by dialling a Freephone number followed by the destination number. Yes, by registering your cable number it is possible to access the 1696 service from most cable companies. If you are unable to access Telco, dial the Freephone access number followed by your destination number.
| Can I make calls from abroad using Telco? |
Yes, you can make calls from many countries all over the world back to the UK at rates competitive with BT chargecards. More countries are being added each month.
| Is Telco cheaper than BT's Friends & Family or Premiere Line? |
Generally speaking, yes. Even though Premiere Line gives an extra 15% discount, you have to pay £24 per year in order to use it. That's an awful lot of calls before you start to save money! Friends &Family also gives you a 10% discount and BT users get a combined discount if they have both. It can be rather confusing but Telco's tariffs are still lower in most cases. And the beauty of Telco is that it's much simpler and you know exactly what you are paying for the call.

| How does the Telco system work? |
The system runs through fibre optic cables. If, for example, you are dialling from London to a friend in Paris, the call goes through to Telco's switching centre in the Docklands.From there, the call goes over to America at the speed of light and is routed from there, using the least expensive method, to your friend in France - all by the time you have finished dialling!
