Dia-Stop Dia-Stop is a formulation used for the prevention and treatment of gastroenteritis. The herbs in this formulation have proven anti-bacterial effects, and will help resist the various bacteria that cause gastroenteritis. Echinacea will also have the benefit of improving the body’s immune defences in general, whilst Goldenseal has important constituents that help the digestive system and protects the mucus membrane lining of the gastrointestinal tract. It will also help maintain the balance of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, which often becomes altered as a result of bacterial infection. This formulation may be taken to prevent attacks if the individual has – or will be – eating hazardous food, or in an outbreak, for example in schools. It may also be used to treat an attack once it has started. If there are persisting symptoms after a week’s course of Dia-Stop the individual should seek further advice. Recommended Dosage5mls three times daily for one week. May be increased if necessary – as advised by a health practitioner.
