| HOME | J18 J18 herb capsules are often recommended following a Hormone Test. J18 acts on the Adrenal Gland, improving the function of the gland. It is therefore recommended for adrenal insufficiency. It is often used in combination with Borage Oil / Starflower, together with our Advanced Vitamin Complex VC1 – which contains large dosages of B vitamins, vitamin C, L-tyrosine and Selenium. Recommended Dosage1 capsule three times daily. May be increased if necessary – as advised by a health practitioner. Cautions / Adverse ReactionsJ18 has proven over the years to be well tolerated. Capsicum can be quite ‘hot’ and can in very rare cases give rise to some indigestion or heartburn, but this is rare, and usually quite mild. It is recommended therefore that they are taken with food if there is any tendency towards indigestion or heartburn. Caution needs to be taken in long-term use, as it contains Liquorice, which in large doses over a prolonged period may lead to a loss of potassium from the body, and ultimately high blood pressure. This would be most unusual for J18 as the dosage of Liquorice is quite low, and the product is usually only used for a relatively short period of time. Avoid in pregnancy, epilepsy, kidney disease.
