| HOME | J23 J23 herb capsules are often recommended following a Hormone Test. J23 acts on the Pituitary Gland, improving the function of the gland. It is therefore recommended for pituitary deficiency. It is often used in combination with our Advanced Vitamin Complex VC1 – which contains large dosages of B vitamins, vitamin C, L-tyrosine and Selenium. The pituitary gland has a controlling effect upon many of the other glands, including thyroid, adrenal and so on, and J23 may also be used if there is a deficiency found in a number of glands and hormones. Recommended Dosage1 capsule three times daily. May be increased if necessary – as advised by a health practitioner. Cautions / Adverse ReactionsJ23 has proven over the years to be well tolerated. Caution needs to be taken in long-term use, as it contains Liquorice, which in large doses over a prolonged period may lead to a loss of potassium from the body, and ultimately high blood pressure. This would be most unusual for J23 as the dosage of Liquorice is quite low, and in practice over a number of years no problems have been found. Avoid in pregnancy and in epilepsy.
