| HOME | J27 J27 herb capsules are used for anxiety problems, particularly when there is no particular stressful situations present. J27-A is similar, but is used when there are stressful conditions, such as emotional upset. Both may be used in depression when associated with anxiety. J27 is also available as a herb tincture. In this formulation, herbs have been synergistically combined for their effectiveness in relieving anxiety. As a natural product, with no dangerous adverse effects, the formulation is a far safer alternative to the drugs often recommended for depression and / or anxiety. It is also just as effective long term. Recommended Dosage1 capsule three times daily. Also available as a tincture – 10 drops twice daily. May be increased if necessary – as advised by a health practitioner. Cautions / Adverse ReactionsJ27 has proven over the years to be well tolerated. Although in Germany there have been reports of liver damage associated with the use of one of the ingredients – Kava kava – these have been associated with the use of strong extracts of the herb, as opposed to the whole herb. Extracts are more often associated with adverse effects than whole herb preparations. St. John’s Wort – Hypericum – has been known to cause photosensitivity rashes, and therefore caution should be taken with exposure to strong sunlight – use an effective sun block. There are no known contra-indications at the recommended dosage, although caution should be taken with co-existent liver disease, and avoid taking with alcohol.
