| HOME | J39 J39 herbal medicine is used to treat lead intoxication or poisoning. It may be used in conjunction with other herbal formulations for the treatment of the effect of lead poisoning. In this proprietary formulation, herbs have been synergistically combined for their effectiveness in chelating and removing lead – and possibly other heavy metals – from the body. Other herbs or nutrients may also be advisable, such as Echinacea, high doses of vitamin C and possibly others. Recommended Dosage3 capsule daily in divided doses. May be increased if necessary – as advised by a health practitioner. Cautions / Adverse ReactionsJ39 has proven over the years to be well tolerated, with no known side-effects at the recommended dosage. Caution needs to be taken in long-term use, as it contains Liquorice, which in large doses over a prolonged period may lead to a loss of potassium from the body, and ultimately high blood pressure. This would be most unusual for J39 as the dosage of Liquorice is quite low. Caution should also be taken in pulmonary oedema or fluid in the lung.
