| HOME | J63-T and J63-C This combination of products is used for prickly heat. Prickly heat is caused by inflammation in the skin - in the sweat ducts - in response to exposure to the sun. The heat causes sweating and blockage of the sweat ducts which then swell and become inflamed. This may lead to infection in the sweat ducts which may aggravate the condition. The key to treating this condition is to reduce the inflammatory response in the skin by the use of anti-histamine herbs, and anti-inflammatory herbs. The herbal tincture contains strong anti-inflammatory herbs Ephedra and Matricaria or Chamomile. These are synergistically combined with Arctium lappa or Burdock, which promotes cleansing through the sweat ducts. The cream will help by providing quick relief from the symptoms of itching and inflammation, and combines the healing properties of Calendula and Borage oil with the anti-inflammatory action of Glycyrrhiza or Liquorice. The tincture may be used to prevent the development of prickly heat in addition to treating the condition. The cream should be used if the rash appears. Recommended DosageTincture – 10 – 20 drops twice or three times daily. Cream – apply as required to affected area. May be increased if necessary – as advised by a health practitioner.
