| Residential Services | Non-Residential ServicesChemical Dependency Group is for battered women who have used
alcohol and/or drugs to cope with the trauma they have suffered in their intimate
relationships. This special treatment group will help battered women identify and recover
from chemical dependencies while working on issues regarding domestic violence.
Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 p.m. - Sr. Paula
HOPE (Hearts Opening to a Peaceful Empowerment)- a support
group for survivors of domestic violence. HOPE will address issues surrounding
relationships (healthy and unhealthy), personal growth and safety, domestic violence
(emotional, verbal, or physical abuse), and the early warning signs of an abusive
relationship, stress management and new coping skills.
Tuesdays 1:00-2:30 p.m. - Dana
REACH (Realizing Emotional Abuse Can Heal) - a support group
to help women who are involved in an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship. This
group will focus on identifying emotional abuse and realizing the detrimental effect
living in an abusive relationship of any type will have on the victim.
Tuesdays 6:30-8:00 p.m. - Dana
Sexual Assault Support Group provides compassionate support
for women who have experienced sexual violence both as children and adults. Discussion and
sharing will encourage those who have experienced rape or incest to begin their journey of
healing.
Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 p.m. - Mary A.
SELF (Survivors Empowering Lives Forever) offers practical
advice and support to women seeking an independent lifestyle. This group will cover
financial concerns, housing, goal setting, employment, and breaking free from a violent
relationship.
Thursdays 1:00-2:30 p.m. - Mary Ann
"AHH..."(Adventures in Holistic Healing) will
focus on healing of the mind, body and spirit. We will combine exercises which will
encourage deeper levels of personal understanding. This exciting new group will give you
the opportunity to meet the woman within, explore through fun and laughter, and embrace
special times as we mend our hearts.
Thursdays 6:30-8:00 p.m. - Sr. Paula or Client Advocate
Life Enhancement Group is a potpourri of women's issues.
Join us in connecting and learning as we experience new ways of getting to know ourselves,
and enhancing our lives through various techniques. Together we will review areas of
empowerment and personal growth.
Saturdays 2:00-4:00 p.m. - Rotating Client Advocate
WOMAN (Women of Maturity and Non-Violence)
will focus on concerns faced by the older woman, including age discrimination within the
job market, health insurance, and shared financial assets.
2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month 10:00-11:30 a.m.. - Mary Ann
Mom and Me will focus on mothers spending
quality time with their children. Activities will include making crafts, watching
family-oriented movies, and playing games.
Mondays 6:30-7:45 p.m. - Rotating Children's Activity Aides
No fee charged for any service.
