Since Merger it was agreed that both the existing Head Office's, Greystoke House & Clapham had to be sold in order that the administartion and affairs of the New Union be under one roof. The result of which is the New CWU Headquarters, based in Wimbledon South London. 		The CWU is the largest Communication's Union in Great Britain, and is striving to become the largest in Europe. It's inception was the coming together of the National Communication Union, (representing members in British Telecom, & the Union of Communication Workers, representing members in the Post Office. The two Unions merged in 1995, and now has a membership of aprox 250.000. And are currently trying to encompass all non management grades throughout the whole communications industry. These are the people working for the cable company's, other mobile company workers, people in the ever growing call centre's, and people now becoming a part of the ever growing Internet (IT) company's. We also have organised labour in some of the large contract company's working for BT, such as Fujitsu.
