The CWU is the largest
Communication's Union in Great
Britain, and is striving to become the
largest in Europe.
|
|
It's inception was the coming
together of the National
Communication Union, (representing
members in British Telecom, & the
Union of Communication Workers,
representing members in the Post
Office.
|
|
The two Unions merged in 1995, and
now has a membership of aprox
250.000. And are currently trying to
encompass all non management
grades throughout the whole
communications industry.
|
|
These are the people working for the
cable company's, other mobile
company workers, people in the ever
growing call centre's, and people now
becoming a part of the ever growing
Internet (IT) company's.
|
We also have organised labour in
some of the large contract company's
working for BT, such as Fujitsu.
