Thanks for Saving Our Lives

The Edges Personalities of the year with the Home Secretary, Father Jim and the Bishop of Salford

As an organisation we help people change their lives. We reach out to those who are socially excluded and trapped by drug addiction, homlessness and crime. We never turn our back on people who have failed. We always believe hope is possible for each individual. These are some of the young people who have turned their lives around, thanks to the support of our organisation.

Mr Jack Straw, the Home Secretary, joined our magazine at the 'Edges Personalities of the Year' Awards. This took place on Friday 6th November. The picture depicts these young people who have turned away from drugs and crime and are now building a new future.

Steven Poynton is recovering from Heroin addiction and we have walked with him through these dark moments. He states the following:- "There is no doubt about it, if it wasn't for Father Jim and the T.H.O.M.A.S. Organisation I would be dead by now. My family had had enough of me; I had robbed and stolen from them to feed my addiction, and they didn't know what to do. When my father died, I decided it was time to sort myself out. The T.H.O.M.A.S. Organisation were the only ones there.
