Watching TVMY GRANDSON
BREAKS INTO MY FLAT

We Listen to a Pensioner share her fears.

I was fast asleep. Then, all of a sudden I woke up and saw this figure standing there. I hadn't gone to bed that night, I was sleeping in the chair. My flat was nice and warm and it was really cosy. I jumped up and I said "Who are you, how have you got in my house?" And then I realised it was my grandson. He wanted money to pay for drugs. He kept shouting at me wanting money. He started looking under chairs, and everywhere, for money but he wasn't able to find any. I managed to order him out of my flat, but I was shaking and was very afraid. As he was going towards the door he was shouting and he hit me on the head. I started to cry, I was all worked up - my nerves had gone. This happened a few weeks ago and I haven't been right ever since.

Sometimes I keep looking over my shoulder in case I can see him, but I realise that I am safe because he's now in prison. I am a nervous person and I had a bad do years ago when my husband was living, and this is all I need now.
