One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life  (Psalm 27:4)

The State as Parent
State Intrusion into the Sanctity and Privacy of the Family

"We must remove the children from the crude influence of their families.
We must take them over and, to speak frankly, nationalize them
"

"[T]he most vulnerable children in our society ... are in our care; we, the state, are their parents"

"The first thing that a totalitarian regime tries to do is to get at the children,
to distance them from the subversive, varied influences of their families,
and indoctrinate them in their rulers' view of the world"

"Above all things, the child needs protecting from the state"

Jepheth's Children is a chronicle of everything that has gone wrong because of the movement to normalise same-sex parenting.
The personal stories of children raised by same-sex parents are heartfelt and painful, and they speak for themselves.
The authors also examine the cultural, philosophical and political context of this momentous change
and reflect upon the resulting increased power of the state once the organic bonds of society are dissolved"

"Gay [sic] parenting has been a huge and risky social experiment: only a generation later can the outcomes be fully visible.
But now that time has passed and we need to listen to the voices of those who have grown up in families headed by same-sex parents.
The voice of ex-gays
[sic] has been all but silenced in the UK;
we cannot allow the same to happen to the voices of those who have been launched into life by gay
[sic] parenting"

"It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea,
than that he should offend one of these little ones"

Children of Same-Sex Couples: A Turning Point  (20 February 2015)

"I am a professor. Among the many faces of academia, hiring season is exceptional. Everyone in the department pretends that we are completely collegial and endearing, while job candidates arrive and audition for us. We go out to lunch with the aspirants and small talk ensues. This time around, many of my colleagues courted the candidates by musing about their childhoods over dinner..."

Adult Children of Gay [sic] Parents Testify Against Same-Sex 'Marriage' at 5th Circuit  (13 January 2015)

"Recounting childhood memories of households made deeply dysfunctional by their parents' sexual appetites and the radical subculture that went along with their 'gay' identities, all four argued that redefining marriage to include homosexual couples will likely lead to the exploitation and abuse of countless children for political and personal gain..."

A Child's Right to be Loved  (09 April 2018)

"Today, ... parenthood is increasingly seen as a self-standing (human) right in the same sense as a right to free speech or property. Its joys must be available to all; any refusal of them, even on the basis that the normal parental bonds might not apply, is likely to infringe the right to family life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights. It is not hard to see that by doing this, we are in grave danger of severing the right to bring a person into existence from the claim of that person to a naturally loving upbringing..."

Is Gay [sic] Adoption Wrong? The Children Say Yes  (26 November 2017)

"Social services and judges in our society commend gay [sic] adoption as a matter of gay [sic] rights and not as a response to children's needs. Social services, so reluctant to remove Elsie from Scully-Hicks, did not hesitate in the case of a Christian heterosexual couple, Vincent and Pauline Matherick, who had fostered 28 children. Officials took from them an 11-year-old boy they were fostering because they refused to teach him about homosexuality. But in Elsie's case, social workers were terrified of questioning the dominant orthodoxy that same-sex couples make equally good or better parents. This myth is based on 'fake research'..."

Officials Investigate Why Gay [sic] Murderers Were Fast-Tracked...  (21 November 2017)

"When there is a problem in the home of a child, the courts tend to find someone else functional within the same family to care for the youth. This is both common and logical unless of course there is a PC agenda tied to gay [sic] rights nonsense in play. In that case, the rights of the family are unwelcomed and it may even lead to the death of the child in question..."

Cultural Marxism That Cost Elsie Her Life  (09 November 2017)

The Disturbing Questions Raised By Poor Little Elsie  (09 November 2017)

"Most couples are warned that it is unlikely that they will be able to adopt a baby of Elsie's age, as tends to be the preference. Adopting a baby is hard and yet Matthew Scully-Hicks managed it with ease. Could this be because he was fast-tracked and, if so, why? ... What the Serious Case review ought to look at is why, months after Elsie had begun to exhibit a series of injuries, the social worker who visited didn't see fit to do any sort of follow-up or checks..."

Birth Family: Baby Murdered ... 'Would Still Be Alive if She Wasn't Taken From Us'  (08 November 2017)

Social Services Prefer Gays [sic] to Grandparents  (28 January 2009)

"The decision by Edinburgh Social Services to take two small children from their grandparents and have them adopted by a pair of homosexuals was today criticised by Christian Voice. ... Social Services talk about the 'best interests of the children', but it is their interests and the interests of political correctness they are more worried about. It will rarely be in the best interests of children to be ripped from a loving, competent family and it will never be in their best interests to be placed with a pair of homosexuals rather than a heterosexual couple. It is hard to avoid the adjective 'evil' when discussing a case of this kind, or when reading about the kind of conduct these social workers have employed..."

Jephthah's Children: An Extract from the Preface

"This book is an uncensored chronicle of everything that has gone wrong because of the movement to normalise same-sex parenting.

"Brittany Klein and I ... have firsthand experience with the seeming 'side issues' that became entangled in the war for marriage 'equality'.  Those side issues ended up being more important than the legal status of same-sex relationships; hence this book.  We can help the general reader understand why something viewed by so many as beneficial was actually harmful to so many more.  This book is not just our story; it is our story plus a whole lot of other people's stories, gathered into a broader picture of everything that backfired.  It offers a few theories as to why multiple societies had such a lapse in judgment:  Propaganda was powerful. Complex issues were prone to oversimplification.  Sexuality was an easy proxy issue on which to project economic frustrations ...

"Whatever views are held about same-sex relationships, same-sex marriage, and in the UK civil partnership (which preceded it), have been, and are, a social disaster for the children affected.  Same-sex marriage was premised on falsehoods.  It was pushed on unwilling populations using nefarious tactics ranging from half-true propaganda to criminal intimidation and racketeering.  It took protections away from the most vulnerable people in the world - particularly but not exclusively children - and empowered the most privileged people in the world ...

"It required changing laws, culture, and global relations in multiple bad directions.  Sex and gender had to be uncoupled from one another, sometimes through dangerous surgery, sometimes through Orwellian language policing.  Sexual choices and self-mastery had to be replaced by biological determinism and peer pressure.  Free will itself was discredited in favour of being 'born this way'.  Self-determination was mandated (for transsexuals) or forbidden (to ex-gays [sic]), depending on how one's urge to change oneself matched the identity politics of opinionated elites.

"Ancient life cycles were overturned for fashionable social theories less than a decade old.  Childhood had to be hyper-sexualised.  Parenthood had to be totally de-sexualised and replaced with systems of buying and selling offspring.  Science and academic research fell prey to groupthink, false assertions, and consensus by duress.  Schools, courts, city halls, and popular culture faced catastrophic reprisal if they did not agree to promote the fallacies used to justify the same-sex marriage movement.

"The discredited logic behind slavery, cultural genocide, and eugenics snuck back into the zeitgeist, under the noses of the progressive critics who usually felt most superior to the slavers, settlers, and Nazis who practiced these historic evils in earlier times ...

"This book will show whom the same-sex marriage movement and same-sex parenting have harmed ... how children's most fundamental birthright - the right to their mother and father, indeed their heritage - has been cast to the flames to make a small gay [sic] lobby happy, and few on the left or right seemed to notice or care ... the toll taken on vulnerable parties in society, particularly women, because of the move toward 'reconstructing families' according to emerging LGBT consumer tastes ... the global effect of imposing same-sex marriage on multiple continents, a process that enhances unhealthy power dynamics among different races and classes ...

"A society that compels people to think things that aren't true, say things they do not believe, and live in fear of retaliation, is one that will lose whatever war it thinks it is waging ...

"With the sleight of hand that yoked marriage to parenting, a host of earnest questions became taboo.  What about the children placed in gay [sic] homes who have biological parents somewhere outside the home?  What about those excluded biological parents?  What about the people whose children are taken away by the state?  What about the cousins, grandparents, siblings, and neighbours who find eugenics unethical, and who want to be tied to their kin?  What about people who cannot remain silent when they see children being trafficked, engineered, or forcibly removed from their origins?  What about all of society, careering toward a future in which human beings will be designed in laboratories and children will be bought and sold? ...

"[T]he lesson is clear ... Parenthood was designed to entail grown-ups sacrificing their own ambitions and desires for the sake of children.  Not the other way around. War perverts everything, including the proper configuration of parent to child ... [and] The sacred order of society collapses in on itself  ... Everyone loses out because everyone is consumed with a distorted consciousness. ...

"The debate over same-sex marriage was not really a debate.  It was a war.  Its polemic rhythms paralleled blitzkrieg and social weapons of mass destruction ... To satisfy the gay [sic] movement's desires, same-sex marriage had to be imposed on the entire world, a globe of seven billion people.  The argument over its implementation remains visceral.  The camps are tribal.  Some of the tactics are as unscrupulous and vicious as one would expect were we exchanging gunfire. ...

"Albeit mostly by force of judicial fiat, the war has largely been fought and won for same-sex marriage and parenting.  During the fog of war, the gay lobby demanded and was promised the right to have other people's children, as well as the assurance that anyone who criticised gay [sic] families would be punished.  Those rash vows can only be kept by hurting people who will have to be sacrificed ... Will we allow the gay [sic] lobby's obsession with marriage to seize our minds so much, that we will be okay with sacrificing ourselves to the gospel of 'marriage equality'?  If we go that far and offer ourselves up as sacrifices, we are not only sacrificing ourselves. We are sacrificing many others who stand to be hurt in the aftermath.

"It is easy to be rash.  It is difficult to be brave.  It is shameful to be cowardly.  We must choose ... will we do the right thing?"

Jephthah's Children: A Review

"This is a very disturbing book.  Don't read it if you want to remain in your comfort zone and close your ears to the cries of the little ones in the affluent West suffering injustice.  In our time God is calling prophets to unveil the truth about the sexual revolution and its effects, especially on children.  Robert Lopez is such a prophet.  Like the author of the story of Jephthah's daughter ... like Jeremiah and Ezekiel, he provides narratives that are raw and unvarnished, revealing sometimes in just a few shocking lines the depths of human sin.  Lust, pride, cruelty, manipulation and other examples of adult selfishness are relentlessly paraded.  The reader is often left asking: 'where is the happy ending? Where is the redemption?'

"Tragically, for many of those brought up in dysfunctional homes with lies, abuse and corruption of innocence, there is only silent torment.  But Lopez and other narrators who have emerged from such situations, who have had the courage to speak out about them, show in their own life stories how even in the worst situations God is present with his judgment and his transforming grace.

"Many people, even in the church, still cling to the myth that Judaeo-Christian sexual ethics on which our civilisation is based are somehow outmoded, prudish and oppressive.  This book shows, in a series of snapshots and sharp comments, something of the destructive and toxic effects of widespread sexual immorality, and how we desperately need to re-lay the foundations by commending and modelling the biological family, for the sake of our future" [source].

Social Care: A Poem

by Anne Murray [First published here]

"It has become apparent that, in this modern day,
our health and social services are rife with compliancy.

"And if you dare to tell them, this system isn't right,
Prepare yourself for battle; you're going to have a fight.

"They twist and turn the subject; to them we're all the same,
They will take away your dignity, and blacken your good name.

"Then you'll be abandoned, to suffer a bureaucratic fate,
Targeted by the social sharks; that use our babies as bait.

"The destruction of the family will be their only goal,
It has become apparent: the social care system has no soul"

Withdraw Thy Foot...

"God gave children to parents, not to the State, to love, nurture, teach, discipline, and train up into adulthood.  It does not take a 'village' or the 'Collective' or State-run 'Care' homes to raise a child; it takes a loving and biological/adoptive/foster family.  Please see the article Communism and the Family for the ideology underlying the 'Collective'.
