The next day we sailed round to Luganville were we would be saying goodbye to the permanent crew as we had reached the end of our voyage aboard the Soren Larsen.
That night we stayed in a local hotel and the next day flew back to Port Vila, we had a full day in Port Vila before we had to catch the flight back to New Zealand so Stuart and I hired a couple of scooters and went over to a place called Les Cascades. This was well worth the effort as it was beautiful.
But all too soon it was time to fly back to New Zealand and then home to England.
I shall never forget that holiday and the great people I met, although I'm already having trouble trying to remember their names! One year I shall do it again but next time I'll spend longer in New Zealand so that I can see more of it and I'll join the Soren Larsen in Tonga as I've always wanted to go there.
