Koh Phi Phi is a very small island (it was the island they used in one of the James Bond movies) with one village on it, it has several beaches that are cut off from one another and one or two hotels per beach.
The hotel that I stayed at had the beach to themselves with only a small group Water Gypsies that lived at one end of it. It was one of those hotels where you get chalets instead of rooms in the main building, and the chalets were built in the jungle that was behind the beach.
It was a sad day when I had to move on to Bangkok...
