The Beekeepers
The Beekeepers have arrived, and if you haven't heard of them yet, you soon will. There was even a little square about them in Kerrang!, so they must be good :o). They do a good line in what now gets called 'Britrock' - lots of loud guitars and ear-pleasing tunes, basically. Oh, and lead singer Jamie has a penchant (I don't do French for nothing) for eye-liner, which makes them seven times as good in my book.
The Beekeepers' first release was the track Catgut, released via Revolution as a limited edition in a fetching translucent fluorescent yellow case. An incredible song that they've kindly included on the Third Party, Fear and Theft mini-album. There have since been four singles - Hold On, Do you Behave Like That At Home?, Lunar and Killer Cure - all on Beggars Banquet and all still available (go to http://www.beggars.com/moindex.html if you're having trouble finding them).
They've now got their mini-album out, no thanks to a slight distribution cock-up, but it's really good so you should all rush out and buy it just as soon as you've got your boots on...
