Over the years, as younger ladies joined the bowling fraternity, afternoon bowling lost some of its appeal since these younger members were working in the daytime. Many clubs went over to evening bowling and Olton Ladies have now joined them. We play league matches on Tuesday evening with the South Birmingham League and Thursday evenings with the Heart of England League. Some friendly matches and club handicaps are still played in the afternoons.
We now have a membership of approximately fifteen ladies, but new members can be assured of a warm welcome.
