Coach / Manager:
CabbageJane Ebbage
Jane formed the Club in 1991 and has since been involved with every level either as a coach or player. She left in 1997 to pursue her coaching career and in 1998 became only the 3rd woman to pass the FA's Full Coaching License, the UEFA "A" Award. Jane returned to the Club as Director of Coaching during the Summer of 1999 and by October had been persuaded to become the new First Team Manager.

Originally from Blackpool Chris joined the Club in 1995 following an advert at Sheffield University where she was a student. Has an FA Coaching Certificate and works at the Girls Centre of Excellence with the U14's. Currently works at Manchester University where she is engaged in medical research.

Originally from Barnsley, Claire joined the Club with Chris McCann when she was a student at Sheffield University. She is now a qualified teacher and still a student at Sheffield University. Claire was converted to the defence this season after 4 sucessful years in the centre of midfield.

Rachel hails from Creswell near Worksop and joined Chesterfield in 1997 / 98 when she attended Chesterfield College.Following a season as a Reserve player Rachel has impressed enough to make it into the First Team. She is a very honest player and willing to learn. At the age of 18 is a superb prospect for the future

Suasanna is the Club's longest serving player, having joined when it was formed in 1991 at the age of 12. She has steadily worked her way upwards playing U14, U16 and Senior football for Chesterfield. Her cultured left foot brought her to the attention of the selectors in 1997 when she was chosen to play for the England U18 squad in the
European Championships in Belgium. Following this she also attended Full Squad training in 1998.

Amy comes from Rotherham and joined the Club in 1995 at the age of 13. She graduated from the Centre of Excellence in 1999 and has rapidly established herself in the First Team this Season. In August 1999 her form for the Centre of Excellence came to the attention of the National selectors and she was invited to attend an U16 get together in Loughborough. Amy is undoubtedly one of the rising stars of the game.

16 year old Gemma has been with the Club since 1994 when she was 11 and has played for the U12's, 14's and 16's. She is a current member of the Centre of Excellence at Chesterfield FC. She also has Yorkshire Electricity League Representative honours at U12 and 14 levels.

Panda the Cat

21 year old Louise joined the Club in 1991 at the age of 12. She was originally an outfield player that went in goal because of her height, now it is her best position. She is currently in her last year as a student at Staffordshire University, but hopes to transfer closer to home next year when she will attend Loughborough University for a years teacher training. Also a keen wildlife expert, just ask her about that real Panda that was on the pitch at
Tranmere Rovers in 1992!!!!

Leanne Haslam

17 year old Leanne joined the Club in 1999/2000, after graduating from the Chesterfield Centre of Excellence. She previously played for her home town team Mansfield Town and is proving to be an important signing for the Club. A tricky wide player she has represented Nottinghamshire Schools U16's, and also had England U16 trials in 1998 and 1999.

Keighley is the joker of the squad, always preventing us from getting too serious. She has been with the Club since 1992 when she was 9 and has since played at every age group. Now 17 she has seized her chance at this level after being moved into the squad at the start of the season. A versatile and determined player with a great future.

Danny Shearer

Danny joined the Club at the start of the season, and at the age of 20 could be classed as one of the veterans of the squad. Comes from Leicester, where she played for Leicester Vixens in the East Midlands league, but has now moved to the area to study full time in Sheffield. she is a hard working player who likes to attack with the ball at her feet


Rachel Willatt

Rachel Willatt17 year old Rachel only began playing competitive football in 1998, after being selected for the Nottinghamshire Schools U16 side. At the time she was without a Club, but was soon persuaded to join our north Nottingham rivals, Calverton, where she played in their Under 16 team for the rest of the season. She was then selected for the Centre of Excellence at Chesterfield, and at the start of this season joined the Chesterfield, making an immediate impact in the First team squad. After only 12 months playing experience Rachel is proving to be a real find.

Rachel is one of the older players in the squad, yet she only began playing in 1997 when she joined the club at the age of 24. Booker lives for football, and is always wanting to know how to improve her game. She has an FA Coaching Certificate and also works at the Centre of Excellence. An honest, hard working player who expects nothing less than 100% from herself and her teammates.


Sarah Smith

SmithyAt the age of 14 Sarah is one of the most exciting prospects at the Club. She has stepped up to Senior football with all the assurance and poise of a more mature player, and has shown that her goalscoring prowess will not be restricted to the junior game. Sarah is a powerful player, with good pace and an eye for goal. Her appearances are limited only by her involvement with the Club's U16 side.

Jo Potter
Mf / Fwd
Jo is another of the U16 squad pushing into First team reckoning. She is a genuinely 2 footed player, with superb technique and an ability to play off the first touch. She rejoined the club this season after a spell at Calverton, and is also a member of the Centre of Excellence.
