At the start of 1991/92 and the Club's first campaign in the East
Midlands Ladies League we secured our first Senior kit sponsorship. This came
about through Reserve player Wendy Tagg who worked at Birtley Engineering . The
kit was specially made for us by Matchwinner who were at that time the kit
sponsors of Chesterfield FC
The Barclays Award for performance of the week was never paid to the Club as
Barclays insisted that a Junior BOYS team must benefit!!!
Times certainly have changed thank goodness.

Marie Hollin signed for the Club in 1999/2000 after playing her junior football
with Dronfield Girls. She made her first team debut against Sheffield Wednesday
in the Semi Final of the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup in February 2000,
and went on to make her Midlands Combination debut at Shrewsbury in March the
same year. (photos below courtesy of Matthew Ashton at STWFC)
Another player who just doesn't know when enough is enough was also pictured at
Shrewsbury, surely this has got to be Jane Ebbage's last game for the Club.
The last game of the 1999/2000 season was at the Annexe on Sunday 14th May when
the 1st team entertained League Champions Newcastle Town. The team group below
was taken prior to this game.
