Laestrygonian disaster!
Despite your own timidity, this place is a disaster. You send three
men to explore a wisp of smoke. They meet a strapping girl at a spring who
directs them to the house of her father, Antiphates, the Laestrygonian chief.
They meet her terrifying mother who calls her husband: he grabs one for
his supper - the other two get away. Meanwhile your other 11 ships have
entered the harbour: Antiphates raises the alarm, and all with their crews
are lost - stoned and skewered by these vicious giants. You put out to sea
in utter dejection. Later you reach the island of Aeaea. After resting for
two days you go inland alone. You see a wisp of smoke in the distance…
