Anyway, welcome to our humble abode. Spend some time looking around and then if you can really be bothered, sign the guest book. 

Aphid is a rock/grunge five piece which has only been in its current form since about Christmas 98. The line up is:- 

Sandra - Vocals 
Alex - Guitars, backing vocals 
Mush - Guitars, Studlyness 
Chris - Bass, apathy 
Jak - Drums, screaming obscenities 
 

The band has seen a few changes since it's initial creation in the summer of 97, the most surprising of which is the recent revelation of regular practices. The band originally started as a grunge/metal four piece, with Alex, Chris, Jak and some bloke called Paul as the line up. Paul was shortly sacked for his sacrilage to music, and was replaced with Matt. 

The band stayed like this for about a year doing a gig or two here and..... well ok we only did two gigs but hey we were young and never practised. Eventually Matt had to move on as a result of his job in London leaving the other three to mourn his leaving for.......... a whole five minutes. 

After that incredibly traumatic experience, came guitarist number three who is still with the band at the moment. So..... with new guitarist in hand the band set off for about half an hour, gave up, rolled over and died. That is until the arrival of Sandra who actually came up with the clearly misguided idea ofhaving practises (women just don't understand). But so it came about that the band was once again on its feet. 

And so we arrive at present day. Essentially the same band but this time with organisation under its belt (and talent). Look at the gig list if you don't believe me. We've actually got gigs and what's more people like us - you can't argue with that. Ok so Alex's hair is a little longer and Jak's put on a bit of a beer belly but we're still going strong after all this time. 

Well, that's it. All I can say is, if your into the grunge scene then go to our gigs and show your support. Byezebye. 

Oh, and by the way, don't worry about the apparent obscession with stoats. It's just a phase. We'll grow out of it....... one day. (HEATHEN! - Ak Ak Akimpanto)
