Here is a collection of .gif files which show textures. These files are provided in the hope of being a useful source of textures for use with the Microsoft Paint program on a PC.
Before starting to use one of these texture files it is best to download it from the web to local storage, either on a hard disc or a floppy disc. However, if that is a problem, then, as long as the Print Screen facility is available on the PC which you are using, the picture can be copied to the clipboard directly from the web display.
The Print Screen facility needs to be available. Display the file in a web browser, off-line. Press the Print Screen button. Start the Paint program. Use Edit Paste in order to get the screen print into the Paint program.
You can use the texture to colour parts of your own picture.
It is possible to use two or more textures within any picture in order to create more complex displays.

The following textures are available for free download.
Please note that the files are not all the same size.
Textured gold.
The .gif file is 300 pixels wide by 300 pixels high and is about 98 kilobytes in size.

Textured turquoise.
The .gif file is 300 pixels wide by 300 pixels high and is about 61 kilobytes in size.

Cobalt glaze.
The .gif file is 300 pixels wide by 300 pixels high and is about 65 kilobytes in size.

Copper glaze.
The .gif file is 300 pixels wide by 300 pixels high and is about 96 kilobytes in size.
