Coming from Forest Row take the B2110 towards Hartfield. After a sharp 90 degree right hand bend, continue down the hill around a sharp 90 degree left hand bend. Continue up the road into Colemans Hatch and as you reach the church on your left you will see a right hand turn. Turn right up the hill to a cross roads. Go straight across and we are 50 yards on the right hand side.

From Wych Cross (A22) simply follow the road signposted "Hartfield" for approximately two and a half miles and eventually you will see the Hatch Inn on the right hand side of the road.

The Ashdown Forest Centre is on the left hand side just past the Ashdown Park Hotel. The forest centre is a required stop if you would like to go walking on the forest. They have a large selection of leaflets detailing some interesting walks on the forest. Sites such as the airmans grave, the site of a WWII Liberator bomber crash, and the hidden airfield, are all difficult to find without them!

If you are interested in A.A.Milnes books you probably already know that Winnie-the-Pooh was set in Ashdown Forest. Some of the famous places such as "Pooh bridge" and the "Enchanted Place" exist, and are easily visited within a mile of the pub .
