Peter Wynne-Willson

Curriculum Vitae

A short time after graduating, in 1982, I set up with Jan Page, a Theatre-in-Education Company called Big Brum, which took issue-based participatory TIE into schools in Birmingham. I stayed with the company for ten years, as its Artistic Director.

After leaving Big Brum, I became a freelance worker, combining writing of plays [mostly, although not exclusively for young people] directing TIE and theatre work, teaching and performing - both as an actor-teacher or role-player, and as a clown or puppeteer. [See Big Sid page]

Alongside this, I have been involved in a large number of arts education projects, sometimes as co-ordinator, sometimes consultant, animateur, director, depending on the nature of the project. I was nominated in 1998 for a Creative Britons Award, for my contribution to arts for young people.
