It looks like there could be a bit of trouble at Old Trafford on Sunday. The stupid Spurs box office are selling tickets to anybody. I mean ... if you send tickets to Tyneside , they are obviously going to go to Newcastle United suporters. lets face it, how many Spurs fans live on Tyneside? The whole allocation was wrong. We should have been given 33,000 one for each season ticket holder in the first place leaving the remainder for the Spurs fans as they only have 15,000 season ticket holders they would have been able to sell the rest to regular fans producing match ticket stubbs. The problem is going to be that a couple of thousand Toon fans are going to be in with the Spurs fans. So what happens when we score . all hell could break loose Spurs fans are notoriously bad loosers. Full time will be a bigger problem image what could happen when we win. I hope that the officials don't realise that if Newcastle win then the isolated newcastle fans within the Spurs contingent could be at risk. If they do then they may NOT WANT TO LET NEWCASTLE UNITED WIN. hmmmn , I will be watching carefully for signs of officials match rigging. on a lighter note, the"Predic t it girl" returns to the front page today. The Riksix aside competition has also been brought up to date. More later |

Newcastle United played a "behind closed doors" game
against west allotment today. Steve Howey, and Duncan Ferguson were
all reportedly involved. they won either 4 - 0 or 6 - 0 depending on
who you talk too.... In an attempt to find out more, I paid a visit
to Chester le street ground but they weren't there so i went to
Whitley Bay's Hillheads park. (they were the reported opposition) You
wouldn't believe who I saw there.... Read the world Exclusive in the Any way the game actually took part at St James' park. No spies were present but I can tell you that Ferguson had a poor game, although he lasted the distance and got a goal having been out for so long he looked "A Bit Rusty" Howey on the other hand had a good game and looks likely to replace Dabizas on Sunday. I l have some Exclusive photos of the new Boys, Caldwell, McClen, Saha and Maric along with the latest Team Photo. They are on The Gallery UPDATE Page |

Next year dirty players are to pay up for the amount of Red and
yellow cards they receive. Some could end up playing for nowt. Will
Dabizas want to stay when this rule is brought in? Full details of
this TRUE STORY in Newcastle United are still keeping everyone guessing over the fitness of the players. Howey and Ferguson are in full training, Lee, Shearer and Hamman are not fully fit but say they will be fit for the semi final, however they have not been seen it training recently. Charvet looks like he may be out for a while and Glass is definitely out for the rest of the season, he will have an operation on Thursday. A few updates today .... THE LEAGUE TABLE and the PLAYER OF THE YEAR FANS VOTE Still can't think of anything good to say about last nights match, I will have a brief report on here later tonight along with the results of the Fantasy football ratings. |

Newcastle will start the season next year with Del Piero upfront alongside Shearer, Duncan Ferguson will share the bench with Tino Asprilla. Midfield will be bolstered by Japanese star Hidetoshi Nakarta , and Kiev's Rebrov . Defence will contain Marcus Babel and Alain Goma. Fantasy football? , Nope The news is that If NTL takeover they will give Ruud Gullit as much money as he wants to build the best side not only in Europe but in the world. No point in having a football club and trying to sell TV games all over the world if the teams not winning all the time. The big stars will help make Newcastle united a household name not only in Europe but in the USA where a huge market for soccer is anticipated. The likes of Nakarta will also make Newcastle "Big in Japan" and the rest of the far east. Up to £150 million for players over 3 years is on offer along with £15 million for the biggest and best youth academy to be set up in Newcastle. A lot could depend on the SKY/ Man U takeover. It is rumored that this deal will be rejected but this will not deter NTL, who will insist that Sky's deal is a different situation to there's and Newcastle's. I'm all for it... With all this money being thrown around, I wonder if they need a top notch Web Designer, to promote Newcastle Utd and their image throughout the world? By the way, take a note of the players in Red., And see how many will be playing for Newcastle in August. Rik knows you no |

Team News, with 4 keys players out Ruud has to make some big changes for todays game against Derby County. It looks like a 3 - 5 - 2 formation
On the Bench, alongside Harper, Saha, Anderson and Brady is 18 year old U19 captain Steven Caldwell who is a centreback and was instrumental in the U20's 5 - 0 win in the youth cup over Boro midweek. Ruud Gullit is to rest Shearer over the weekend so that we will have a stronger team available for the Semi Final game NEXT weekend. Shearer supposedly has a slight ankle injury but there isn't really a problem. Didi Hamman on the other hand does have an ankle injury and will also miss both games this weekend. He is also likely to be fit Stephen Glass and Howey are still 50 /50 for NEXT WEEK, Big Dunc is set to return this weekend. Ruud's thinking is "We play Spurs with a weakened team on Monday night in the league, If we win Great, If we don't then the following week we will be a lot stronger so in theory we will do better. On the other hand if we play them on Monday with our best eleven and lose, then what will that do to moral the following week?" Good thinking Ruud but you ain't foolin me.. Match report to follow soon |

Fifa are still locked in talks regarding he new rule changes (YESTERDAYS BIG NEWS). another 4 rule changes for the new millennium are expected before the end of the Easter holidays. The reserves report from my Marra at the match is up , against it's brilliant . A shame that the season is nearly over. (I wonder if he will cover the pre season friendlys?) The Euro 2000 match reports are complete although the tables will have to wait for a day or two. The predic T IT girl is another stunner this week, she will only be up for a couple of days and changed over for the Spurs game for an even more delectable babe. (front page) Team news for Newcastle's two Easter games is not looking too good. No sign of Howey, Hamman was injured yesterday and won't play in the two weekend games, the full extend of the injury will be revealed soon, but it Int looking good. Glass is on the mend but unlikely to feature over the weekend. Robert Lee is likely to start in centre midfield along with Gary Speed. Maric and Solano expecting to make up the midfield in a more settled side. Duncan Ferguson may well be on the bench for either the Saturday or Monday nights game and is on course to start in the semi final next week. more later in the day
