My family emigrated to Canada in 1963. We used to live at 13 Woodland Rise. My 3 brothers [Patrick, Gordon, Stuart] and I went to Templewood Primary School and my twin brother Patrick and I also went to St Mary's Secondary School in Welwyn. Mr G.A.Savage was the headmaster at the time. My friends were Frances Jordan, Sandra Knowles, Sandra Cameron, Marion Smith, Ruth Atkinson and Linda Smith. I am now a test-pilot and am currently test-pilot of the University Of Toronto ornithopter C-GPTR and am also designing my own ornithopter [called "Nightingale"] ]

Is there anyone out there who remembers me ?...if so, I would love to hear from you...........Cheers, Patricia

I was at Templewood from 1951 to 1957. I think the school had only just opened when I started there. I remember the following teachers: Roe, Pearl, Greensmith, Lowerway, Smith, Lucas, Warsaw and head A.E.R Otter. I was happy there. There was a creepy religious mural on the canteen wall - I was there when a woman was painting it. The grounds were wonderful - woods, sandpits, paddling pools and fields. Knightsfield wasn't built then - it was all fields. I lived in Digswell Road.
