Many of you know that as part of our current initiative, we are gathering information for a book.

We have lots of super reminiscences which will obviously be of great use but we are contemplating a section on local ghost stories, myths and legends (e.g tales of a hanging tree in the area).

If you have a particular story to tell even if it is not based on truth but has been handed down by word of mouth please contact Wendy Barlow - 624296 or Maggie Hayward - 624704

We are also looking for local village folk remedies for health problems/ailments. Any information on the friendly Societies such as the Oddfellows or the Foresters.

We intend holding another exhibition during the year. This will be more "people" orientated than the "Built Heritage" of our last summer’s effort.
