We always make
our shifts on time or e-mail The Sage before our shift.
We Always act in a professional manor on your
sage account (We represent Mplayer.com whenever we are on under our sage names).
Sages can only make a room for Mic help. When
you are finished close the room and return to the lobby.
If you need a quick break during you shift -go
to the sage lobby and log off the bot pager then take care of what ever you have to.
(Never leave your computer with the bot pager on and unattended).
We always log on the sage pager when we are
logged on as sage (even if not on shift).
Always log off the sage pager before you log off
Mplayer.com (type R into the chat area and hit enter).
Always answer your pager politely (How can I
help you? or How may I assist you?) are the two best options
All sages are expected to have an expectable
sage profile (You should also have a link to the FAQ pages on this for the users to access
the pages Quickly).
Do try to say at our posts during the entire
shift. (Takes a break if you get tired or have to use the bathroom but go to the Sage
Lobby and log off pager first).
We always help all members as well as fellow
sages and wizards.
We go to our team leaders when an internal
problem arises, if the problem can't be solved there we take it to The Sage and get it
resolved.
Bad Room Names--First-Find out from the lobby,
who the moderator of the room is, and page them. Nicely ask them to change the room name,
let them know you have complaints about it being offensive. SECOND-If they do not, or
refuse, Contact a 3 star sage if one is on line if there is not a 3 star and you are a 2
star you may enter the room and change the name remember to file a report with the
Complain about user feature. If they change it back, then you contact support by using helphelphelp.
No star sages don't ever go into rooms. (You
will get people who hit Invite and want you to go to their room to help them. Contact a 3
star or a 2 star to handle the problem).
1 star sages don't enter rooms unless your are invited to. (Try to
handle the problem from the lobby first).
When addressing an infraction of Mplayer policy
don't forget to file a report with the complaint about "username" feature.
If you are unsure of something, don't do anything Contact a 3 star
Sage if none are on file a complaint.
Sages don't go to tournament rooms. If there is
a problem in a tournament room the Wizards or GameGods will handle it.
Sages don't ever threaten members. (This mean you never talk about
global mute or having them band from Mplayer.com).
Sages don't ever under any condition give out
the helphelphelp code. (This is for Sage and Wizard use only).
Sages do not go into rooms to visit with friends unless the room is in
the Sage Lobby. We are in lobbies to be seen so stay out of rooms.
We don't talk about sage business in public
where members have access all sage business should be dealt with in the Sage lobby
We don't suggest sexual misconduct ever while we are on Mplayer.com
even if you are not on your Sage account there are always others that know you are a sage
and it looks bad remember you represent Mplayer.com now.
We don't talk about sage powers to members even
if they are you friends and have applied to become sages.
We don't spread gossip of any kind and we never talk about what sages
got in trouble for what even if it is true because that starts gossip.
We don't hang around the Live Support this
area is to help members with their problems.
We don't tell Members about the sage lobby. This is our area and
should never be talked about.
