The Black Mount Community Website was founded in 1995, and was set up to inform residents and visitors about our area, including a reference section, about items and issues of importance, and also about the various activities taking place in our community during the year. Our web site was one of the first community sites in Scotland. Today, we average over 600 'hits' per month.

The site has always been maintained on a voluntary basis, and is hosted at no cost whatsoever to the community.

The website is constantly evolving, so that it offers the information required and requested by readers, both local and from as far afield as New Zealand. Thanks are due to the many individuals who have sent us suggestions and requests for additional pages and information.
