June 22nd 2000 The annual BBQ is scheduled for Saturday July 1st. May 12th 2000 WARNING There seems to be a common problem with the cold water tank systems. Numbers 1 and 3 have both been flooded while away on holiday. The ballcock failed, and the overflow pipe couldn't take the pressure and gave way. Number 5 had a similar problem, but weren't on holiday at the time and replaced the ballcock assembly before any damage was done. May 7th 2000 AGM 2000 Minutes I have added the draft minutes from the 2000 AGM held in April. May 5th 2000 Online Translations I have added a link to Microsoft Office L&H Online Translations which provides free online translations for a variety of languages. Great if your kids are going on a language exchange to Spain, for example. April 30th 2000 Roof Tiles Dave and Doreen are trying to replace two of their roof tiles which are broken. Unfortunately it appears as if they can't buy replacements as the company has now gone out of business. If you can help, send an email to parliamentplace@listbot.com or let them know directly. If you want their email address, contact me at ricky@datak.co.uk and I will forward it to you after checking with Dave or Doreen. Please could other residents let me know if they have had similar problems in the past, and whether they feel the Management Company should hold a small stock of roof tiles on behalf of the residents. April 25th 2000 Added link to SETI@Home. SETI, or Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence is run by Berkeley University. You help by downloading packets of radio telescope data and using the spare CPU cycles of your home (or work) PC to look for signs of ET. Click on the link, download the screensaver and you too could be looking for intellient life beyond our earth.
