The THOMAS Academy providesfully
To access this accommodation there must be a high level of motivation and commitment. It only accommodates completers of residential drug treatment programmes and a reference of recommendation must be received from the drug treatment unit before a person can be considered for admission.
The Academy focuses on paradigm development. It nurtures human development beyond drug treatment and engages people in a programme of voluntary work and tailor-made training and education. Its ultimate aim is to break down stereotypical perceptions and market its members potential.
The Academy recognises that people can become stuck within their world and labelled because of past mistakes. It attempts to change the way society thinks about people who were once addicted to drugs and alcohol. It helps to develop the human intelligence that creates change and promotes success.
The Academy has an in-depth system of monitoring success. It focuses on each individual’s gradual acquisition of commitment and gives a comprehensive assessment of a person’s willingness to want to succeed. |
