One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life  (Psalm 27:4)

The State as Parent
State Intrusion into the Sanctity and Privacy of the Family

"We must remove the children from the crude influence of their families.
We must take them over and, to speak frankly, nationalize them
"

"[T]he most vulnerable children in our society ... are in our care; we, the state, are their parents"

"The first thing that a totalitarian regime tries to do is to get at the children,
to distance them from the subversive, varied influences of their families,
and indoctrinate them in their rulers' view of the world"

"Above all things, the child needs protecting from the state"

The Role of the State in Educating Children

"The state's role and authority to foster the well-being of children is a subsidiary one, meaning that it is secondary to the role of the parents, and serves the function of helping parents in their educational task, not usurping or undermining the parents' educational efforts ... coercion ... should be restricted as much as possible in order to avoid the usurpation of parental authority"
[source].

"Schools no longer make policies based on the principle that parents control the education of their child. Indeed, parents often lose control of their child's upbringing once the youth walks into his or her school. Once exposed to our educational establishment, the values of many children vary dramatically from those of their parents ... schools have been transformed from community-oriented centers where traditional moral, civic, and scholarly values were nurtured into carefully guarded precincts for the counter-cultural transformation of young and adolescent children"

Instilling Collectivist Values into School Children

Values Clarification:

"Under the auspices of the United Nations, education will 'challenge us all to adopt new behaviors and practices', and will focus in holistic, rather than subject-based learning, and an emphasis on values rather than subject matter. ...
Under values clarification, students are taught there is no absolute right or wrong, which inevitably leads to the destruction of morality, the family unit, and our free society. For example, young students are now taught how to contact child protective services and other authorities if they believe their parents are abusing them. ... on the surface this sounds admirable, but in practice it has led to many cases where justifiable discipline in the home has led to court ordered separation of children from their families" [Ron Taylor, Agenda 21: Expose of the United Nation’s Sustainability Development Initiative, pp.40-41].

"Why would the ... government implement values clarification training? And, why would UNESCO and the Agenda 21 program want to redefine the belief systems of children around the world?  In my opinion there is only one reason: By destroying the moral fabric of a society they can instill their values and beliefs in their place. ... the new model of education will teach students the values of collectivism and loyalty to the state over family and individual. All I can say is, thank God my kids were homeschooled"
[Ron Taylor, Agenda 21: Expose of the United Nation’s Sustainability Development Initiative, p.42].

'Safeguarding Officers' and Collusion of Teachers With SSs

"An increasing number of children in our files are being removed from school and are home educated, sometimes after a fairly minor brush with 'protection' services, because the educational system (including nursery education) is now seen as part of the surveillance process, which can be influenced by the whims, prejudices and occasional hostility of individual teachers. Another child was removed from nursery school because the teacher there was questioned by social workers about the parents and is no longer trusted, so it is at home"
[source].

"[A mother] was in the kitchen preparing packed lunches for her two children when her 11-year-old daughter kept on interrupting. The mother tapped her daughter on the arm with a roll of clingfilm and told her to go upstairs. The following day the girl casually mentioned to a teacher that her mother had 'hit' her. This was reported to social workers who took her into care, on the grounds that the mother had hit her with an 'implement'"
[source].

"[D]uring a discussion about signing off his homework diary, Henry [aged 12] told a teacher that his parents were abroad. When asked who was looking after him, he said he didn't really know
[EMcD: his parents had arranged with long-time friends to stay with their son while they needed to be away on business] - a comment which was relayed to the school's 'safeguarding' officer, whose job it is to decide if concerns about a child's welfare are serious enough to contact social services. ... Recalls [Henry's mother]: 'I received a phone call from the staff member ... asking me who was looking after Henry. I told them and asked if they needed numbers, and she said they didn't. I asked if there was a problem and she said no.' ... [But the] school had informed Cumbria Police and child protection agencies" [source].

University of Central Lancashire Study
:

"Based on FOI requests to 114 local councils, [the University's study] showed that, since Baby P, there has been a huge increase in the number of cases where social workers have intervened because of 'concerns' raised by teachers, health visitors, doctors or members of the public that something suspicious might be going on, even if this may be only a small bruise on an arm or a neighbour overhearing a mother and father shouting at each other. Thanks to such 'referrals' ... social workers investigated no fewer than one in five of all children born in 2009/10.  But ... many of the cases I have investigated over the years were set off like this, leading to tragic outcome where social workers successfully based their case almost entirely on those initial ill-founded suspicions, without having to produce any further evidence to support them"

Perverse Sex 'Education'

"What exactly, does one tell a five year old about sex?"  /  "That it's how mummy and daddy make babies. Just how parents managed for generations"  /  "Stay away from left wing teachers?"  /  "[T]his is classic Frankfurt School Cultural Marxism, Lukacs did this in Hungary"  /  "Innocence is mocked, that's the problem. Innocence should be a virtue"   /   "We all know there is an agenda here. Certain people in government want to make sure that the first time children learn anything about sex it won't just be about male+female, and it won't just be about 'making babies' - which is where most parents start. And that's why parents are not to be trusted with sex education"  /  "[Y]ou have to understand that in LibLabCon Britain, children don't belong to their parents. Children belong to the state, just like in the Soviet Union and other places east of the Vistula. The parents belong to the state too, so it's their duty to work and be tax-slaves to pay for all those vanity projects our rulers fund from that tax, and to have no time to give to their children, so that those children can be indoctrinated by the state into being the compliant little tax-slaves of the future"
[comments at source].

"These sick people even tout the excuse that more sex education would have helped empower the Rotherham sex abuse victims"  /  "Isn't there a contradiction here? Social workers and police in Rotherham and elsewhere said they failed to act against men sexually exploiting under age girls because *the girls were making a lifestyle choice*, which implies they believed the girls were fully aware of what happens when sex takes place. So which is it? Were the girls not educated about sex and therefore in need of ever more sex education in school, or were they well aware in which case sex education would have been redundant?"
[comments at source].

"But the sex education won't be what most normal parents would understand as sex education, it will focus on 'normalising' minority sexual practices and aim to confuse juveniles on their own sexuality (all in the name of fairness) so adding another tool to the liberal progressive box of tricks to undermine and marginalise the desire for normal stable dual sex relationships. Indoctrinate them young and they become putty in the hands of the Fabians - but for the children's own good of course, let's not forget to accompany this social engineering exercise with the stock claim the elite use to excuse the evil they perpetrate"
[comments at source].

"'Ministers are saying that parents are crying out for better sex education with concerns that children are finding out about sex through pornography and other forms of media'. I could understand parents 'crying out' for better Algebra or Chemistry education if the present curriculum was inferior, but sex education? Is sex so complicated that parents can't teach their children the appropriate information without help from a school teacher? People's infantile reliance on the government is more than a little disturbing"  /  "Yes, but 'parents are crying out for *better* sex education', that's the point. I suspect that if parents are 'crying out for ' anything at all it is an end to the politically correct way of teaching that passes for sex education in schools at the moment"  /  "Schools have no business teaching anything about sex, other than basic human biology. Parents are the ones who should be teaching sexual morality; ... it shouldn't be political ... Parents need to do their job, not abdicate their parental responsibility to strangers"  /  "Increasingly parents are expecting schools to do everything that was once the responsibility of parents, and they are being encouraged in this by governments"
[comments at source].

"We all know where this is going don't we? First they will bring this in. After 5 years, they will then start 'debating' how our children are soooo much more sexually aware, that the age of consent must come down 'as the right thing to do'. As time goes on it ill be lowered incrementally until it suits our perverted leadership's desires. As well as 'other interested groups' whose culture WE must integrate with. Of course it will never be a problem for our ruling elite ... until it happens to them"

Absence From School and Lateness

"A junior school in Nottinghamshire sent a letter to all parents informing them that if their child were late for school on three occasions during a school year the school would report the parent to social services for neglect. At a meeting to discuss this policy, about a dozen of the parents present raised outraged objection to this. The rest thought it was a jolly good idea. So yes, there is so much more of this nasty, ugly, chipping away at reason and freedom. And how much of it never sees the light of day beyond the small group it immediately affects?"  /  "Then perhaps [the parents] should retaliate. If any teacher is late starting a lesson on three occasions during a school year, or not present at all, then they should be reported to social services for neglect and abandonment of children in their care. Two-way street"  /  "Now that would be interesting, but I suspect the officials are immune from censure"  /  "All those agreeing with it imagine their kids are never, ever late and never, ever get distracted on the way. They think it's only for the truants and it will not affect them, but three late arrivals in a year is well below the normal rates for real children. They don't think that kids who are off sick will be counted as 'late' when they don't show up. Nasty surprises on the way..."
[comments at source].

"Government indoctrination is essential to the maintenance of a compliant slave state. By interrupting the scientifically-designed process of brainwashing, you are subverting the state and potentially opening the possibility that non-standard worker units will infect the working population in years to come with ideas of independence, personal liberty, freedom of choice, and other disruptive concepts. This cannot be tolerated"
[comment at source].

"This is a very dangerous thing to do in socialist Britain. I expect the child catchers, I mean, 'health visitors' will shortly be paying a visit. Truly, with forced adoptions, secret courts, compulsory academic education (unsuitable for so many), you are merely suckling cows and emotional teddy-bears for the children of the Fatherland. They are not your children and haven't been for some time"
[comment at source].

"Prosecuting for Telford & Wrekin Council, Carol Trigger told the court the family were warned they did not have permission [!!!] to go on holiday
[EMcD: My emphasis]" [source].

"Such inflexibility is typical of a dictatorship, not a democracy"  /  "as soon as you register your child to the state, they become their property"  /  "These ridiculous bully boy tactics are becoming common in the UK, while real crime goes unpunished"  /  "This is a great example of the totalitarian state bullying parents and a reason why everyone should remove their children from the socialist incubators they call schools and teach their children at home. Alternatively, reclaim control of schools from the nasty state"  /   "If 'Big Brother' says something, you must obey. Otherwise the thought police will be on to you"  /  "And as everyone pontificates that Fathers should bring up their children the state chastises them at every turn"  /  "Welcome to communist Britain"  /  "Half the reason these kids are behaving poorly is because of being forced in to these desolate institutions and never getting to spend quality time with their families"  /  "The education system is already in a state, that's how governments like it. It's easier to control an uneducated population"  /  "This is not about the council protecting the children's (so called) education, it is about showing hard working, law abiding tax payers who is boss"  /  "If they were going on a sabbatical to Pakistan I doubt there would be a problem"
[comments at: source].

"[This] shows just how far we have come in allowing the establishment to interfere in out lives, one week off from school will not destroy a child's life"  /  "State education exists within its own self-important ivory tower, believing all its own propaganda, convinced of its own righteousness, and signally failing to realise its role has changed from a means of bettering poorer children, to an instrument of an increasingly Orwellian state. ... churn[ing] out befuddled 20 somethings with a mickey mouse degree, a 30k debt and very little idea of how to get through the rest of their lives. This latest incursion, by the courts no less, into a family taking a holiday is an absolute outrage! It's no surprise to me that the two families I've met who've chosen to home educate their children have some of the most well adjusted, loving and respectful (and bright) kinds I've had the pleasure of meeting"  /  "The sole aim of the education system is to churn out drones that conform. Its  purpose is to stamp out individuality. It would be too dangerous for the government if we were allowed to think for ourselves and do what we believe is best for our kids"  /  "Whose kids are they, their parents' or the Department of Education's? ... The children would have benefitted far more from a week in Greece than yet another week in HM training and brainwashing camps. [Real] Education has nothing to do with dogmatic adherence to the National Curriculum, which is all about dog training and control"
[comments at source].

Food Control

"The 6-year-old boy who was suspended from school because his parents refused to fill his lunch box with tofu, lettuce, carrot sticks and wheaten bread as per the school's dictatorial 'healthy eating' policy, preferring to give him a sausage roll, or scotch egg and mini cheddars or other snack type foods, how now been expelled from his school ... The school said: 'If we are faced with a situation where a parent threatens to send a pupil into school with insufficient food to sustain them throughout the school day, it is a risk we simply cannot afford to happen'.  This is the usual demonising, twisted doublespeak we have some to expect from the control freaks who are determined to take control of the upbringing of our children. This issue was not insufficient food, rather the parents did not conform to the kind of food the school decided should be provided. ... Welcome to the glorious fruits of the quiet, slowburn cultural marxist revolution in action" [source].

Social Care: A Poem

by Anne Murray

"It has become apparent that, in this modern day,
our health and social services are rife with compliancy.

"And if you dare to tell them, this system isn't right,
Prepare yourself for battle; you're going to have a fight.

"They twist and turn the subject; to them we're all the same,
They will take away your dignity, and blacken your good name.

"Then you'll be abandoned, to suffer a bureaucratic fate,
Targeted by the social sharks; that use our babies as bait.

"The destruction of the family will be their only goal,
It has become apparent: the social care system has no soul"

Withdraw Thy Foot...

"God gave children to parents, not to the State, to love, nurture, teach, discipline, and train up into adulthood.  It does not take a 'village' or the 'Collective' or State-run 'Care' homes to raise a child; it takes a loving and biological/adoptive/foster family.  Please see the article Communism and the Family for the ideology underlying the 'Collective'.
