Knaresbrough Lido

Directions:
The Lido is on the river Nid From Knaresborough on the B6164 go over the river bridge, then turn right entry to the river is on the camp site.
General:
Around one mile of fishing on the right bank. Day tickets are available from the camp office (tel: 01423 865169). Open from the trout season until October 31 st. Stocked annualy with trout no keepnets no fish to be killed. Good look.

Rawcliffe river Ouse

Directions:
On the A19 from York take the York-Thirsk road you can park in the Fairfield lay-by just before the Tom Coblaigh pub. Entry to the river is just before the bridge near the new by-pas.
General:
York and District AA water. For day tickets Mitre Pets, 214 Shipton Road, York and York Tackle dealers. Mainly roach and bream and other small species. Bags to 50lb+ recorded.

Ulleskelf river Wharfe

Directions:
Turn left off the B1223. ( Sherburn-in-Elmet to Tadcaster road.) towards Ulleskelf . Park at the car park signs and proceed over the stile follow the footpath to the river.
General:
Day tickets from the Ulleskelf Arms or Leeds tackle shops. Eels,barbel,chub,dace, flounder, some occaaional trout. No fishing below the bridge, tidal river & steep banks.

Canals-Becks-Drains.



Selby Canal

Directions:
Wheatsheaf lenght of the canal, take the A1041 towards Snaith from Selby to the canal bridge. Selby lenght of the canal, take the A19 south from Selby then turn left at the crossroads to Brayton and follow to Brayton Bridge. Or follow the A19 to the canal bridge.
General:
A well stocked canal with chub, bream and roach the main species. Day tickets are on the bank or from Seldy tackle shops. Good sport throughout the season especially in winter

Bacon Factory Pond

Directions:
Bacon Factory Pond is situated in Sherburn-in-Elmet near Selby. Follow the A1 up to the A63 turnoff. Turn left at the first roundabout onto the A162 to Sherburn-in-Elmet. When you reach the traffic lights in Sherburn take a right turn onto the B1222 towards Cawood. Follow this road for approximately one mile and then take a right turn at the roundabout and follow the road to the pond.
General:
This water is controlled by the Wheatsheaf Angling Club with day tickets obtained on the bankside from the bailiff. The pond is stocked with carp, bream, roach and tench. With 40 pegs on the fishery, it is open all year round.



Birkdale Carp & Coarse Fishery
Directions:
Take the A64 to the Welburn turnoff and follow the signs for Terrington. Once in Terrington the fishery is well signposted.
General:
The lakes are open all year round and tickets are available from the farmhouse. If you fancy a day with the family there is a family lake for you to enjoy. The lakes are stocked with carp, tench, bream and roach.


Balne Moor Fishery

Directions:
Along the M62 to junction 34, turn off here to join the A19 towards Doncaster. Go through Whitley and turn left at the next crossroads. Continue for about a mile and a half and the fishery is situated on the right after the railway bridge.
General:
This lake is well stocked with carp, chub, tech, bream, roach and rudd. Day tickets are available from the bailiff on the banks. Fishing times are from dawn to dusk daily. Barbless hooks only to be used, keepnets and groundbait are not allowed. For further enquiries you can telephone Andrew Presley on 01302 874335 evenings from 6 - 10pm.
