River Don - Sprotborough

Directions:
From junction 36 A1, take the A630 ( Rotherham ) road, at the traffic lights turn right on to Mill Lane, follow this to Sprotborough lock which meets the river and cancl.
General:
From Sprotborough lock, the water ic controlled by Doncaster and District AA. Above the lock to Mexborough, is controlled by Rotherham and District DFA. The river holds a good head of fish mainly Bream, roach, dace and chubb with barbel in the weir. Day tickets are on the bank, with free fishing in Doncaster.

New Junction Canal - Doncaster

Directions:
From Doncaster take the A18 ( Hatfield ) road. Turn left at the sign for Banby Dun and follow to the canal also from Kirk Bramwith , access to the canal is by any minor bridges along the strech.
General:
The canal which runs from Barnby Dun, to The Aire & Calder Canal. Controlled by Doncaster & District AA, the canal holds bream, roach, chubb, carp and gudgeon. With good all year round sport, day ticket are availadle on the bank.

Campsall Clay Ponds

Directions:
From the M62 junction 34 take the A19 towards Doncaster. When in Askern turn right before the boating lake taking the road to Campsall. Follow signs to Country Park, entrance is on the left at Campsall Sports Centre or off Marian Crescent.
General:
A five acre pond in a Country Park developed in 1982 and run by Campsall W. M. Angling Club. Species are carp, tench, bream, rudd, perch, roach, eels and pike to 28lbs. Day tickets are on the bank at a cost of £2 adult, £1 juniors, O.A.P and disabled.

Hayfield Lakes.

Directions:
From Doncaster take the A638 towards Bawtry passing Doncaster Dome Leisure Centre and Racecourse. Continue on the A638 for 3 miles to Rossington Bridge, after the sign post for Rossington turn left onto Hayfield Lane follow this to the fishery car park.
General:
Hayfield Lakes has 35 varieties of fish some of the species are carp, (mirror, common, leather, ghost, silver, crucian, gold and koi), trout, (rainbow, brook and brown), tench, golden tench, goldfish, golden orfe, rudd, bream, skimmer bream, chubb, pike and wels catfish. With 64 pegs, it is suitable for disabled anglers. Day tickets are on the bank, barbless hooks only, keepnets are not allowed. Open from June 16th to March 31st. Tel: 01302 864555

Pebley Reservoir

Directions:
From the M1 at junction 30 take the A16 east, turning left onto the A618. Stay on this road until you come to the reservoir on your right hand side. Keep going for a further 30 yards and turn right, follow the track to the car park area.
General:
Pebley Reservoir is situated near the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire Border. The water holds a good head of big fish for the specimen hunter, carp to 28lbs, pike to 33lbs, tench, bream, roach and perch. Day tickets are on the bank at £3 or £5 for 24 hours.
