River Aire - Thwaite Mills
Directions:
From Leeds take the A61 towards Rothwell. Turn left after the Crooked Billet pub, and then follow the signs to Thwaite Mills.
General:
Above Thwaite Mills in the deepr water you will find mainly roach, bream, and perch. The lower and faster water holds roach, bream, chubb and gudgeon.
Day tickets are from Leeds tackle shops, run by Leeds & District ASA.
The Aire & Calder Navigation Canal also runs along side , from Leeds towards Swillinton.

Wintersett reservoir - Near Ryhill
Directions:
From Wakefield take the A638. Travel about 2.5 miles then turn right at the Crofton Arms on to Lodge Lane. Stay on this road for about 2.5 miles the lakes are on both sides of the road.
General:
There are three lakes which are contolled by RGB minning. The largest lake is Wintersett Reservoir, then Cold Hindley Reservoir, and Botany's.
All three lakes hold Tench, roach, Perch, Bream, Carp to 28lb, and Pike to 30lb+. Day tickets are on the Bank fron Jhon the bailiff @ £3. for Adults and £2. for juniors. Plenty of parking around the lakes pluss carparks.
Not fished too good this winter 98/99.
