'Beyond the Red Button' is organised by PAWS at Omni Communications and supported by the UKRC (UK Resource Centre for Women in SET) and the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology)

Seminar Introduction

The PAWS Drama Fund has held a number of innovative seminars bringing together the worlds of TV drama and Science, Engineering and Technology (SET). Their aim has been to explore the many diverse applications of technology and to highlight the potential of modern science for TV drama and other scenarios.

Audience

This Seminar/Workshop is aimed at broadcasters, television writers and producers, SET professionals, commissioners, heads of AV media, educationalists, and all those interested in science communication.

Speakers

The Seminar will bring together key individuals from the worlds of commercial television, tv drama, new av media and science and technology. It offers the opportunity to see and discuss the latest work in interactive TV, some of it not previously screened, to discuss the value and future of interactive television with leading practitioners and to take part in practical, interactive, activities. Speakers include: Jonathan Drori, Gaby Chiappe, Paul Dornan, Tim Wright, Andrew Chitty, Terry Marsh and Professor Angela Sasse.
