Stevo, the roving dutch reporter has gone AWOL, the NUFC unofficial but most used BBs has also gone off this weekend. So it looks like it's left to me to tell you all about last nights footy match compiled from a 2 minute phone call this is what happened .

Newcastle once again won against lesser dutch opposition. Ruud had once again rotated the squad. Shearer was missing after coming off with a slight knock in the previous game. Ferguson was seeing a specialist in Amsterdam. this left Ketsbaia upfront with Adde. Perez was again in goal, Both Harper and Given are still not fully fit, so Newcastle again put new goalkeeper coach, Simon Smith on standby.Again three centre halves took to the field, the full line up being

 Perez

  Charvet ..... Goma ....... Dumas

Grifin ......... Kerr( Barton 46) ......Domi

McClen Dyer(Serrant 46)

 Andersson

 Ketsbaia.

Anderson incredibly found the net in the 20th minute to open the scoring. Unfortunately Griffin was sent off after just 29 minutes for what looked like a normal tackle. Dyer and Anderson were pulled back to cover leaving just Ketsbaia on his own for large spells of the game.

Helmondspoort equalised just before half time. the Second half saw Barton again in the centre of midfield looking very positive. McClen appeared to have been on the sunbeds again, Both of these controlled the midfield, and it looked like it would end 1-1. Cult hero Temuri Ketsbaia though was determined to get on the score sheet for the mini tour and did so in injury time.Final score 2 - 1 . My thanks to Jesper for the info. A full report may possibly be here soon if we can locate Stevo.

Newcastle fly home to play two games in Scotland next week can this winning spell continue?

Saturday 16th July

Newcastle comfortably beat FC Deurne 4 -0 , A full report will follow later, for now some brief stats.

The line up was Perez (again in the shop window)

 Marcelino(Cornwell) Dumas(Dabizas) Goma(Beharall)

Charvet(Hughes).. ..........Serrant(Barton)

 Dyer(Kerr ) . ............................. Speed(McClen)

 Maric

Shearer(Coppinger) Ketsbaia

Dutch Amateurs SV Deurne were little competition for a Newcastle team that was much stronger than the team that beat Den Bocsh on Thursday. Marcelino played in a 3 man defence with Dyer also making a debut further forward Alain Shearer scored in the first half,. Warren Barton scored in the second after he replaced "In the shop window Carl Serrant. Coppinger and McClen also came off the bench and getting another goal each. One Question, who is Cornwell?I don't even has his name down as a youth team player, No doubt Stevo will fill us in on all the info later on.

Stevo's full report from last nights match and tonights game will be on Click here for the Pre season games

Next up is Dutch second division team Helmondspoort.

Friday 16th July

Dyer flew out to Holland after completing a medical, he is now a Newcastle player. The first pre season friendly ended Newcastle 2 Den Bosch 1 a match report has been sent in by Stevo in Holland.

Great news for Newcastle is that Hamoan will hopefully agree terms with Liverpool and after a medical on Monday will become a Liverpool player. Newcastle have accepted an Eight Million pound bid for the wantaway German misfit. He is currently believed to be discussing terms with Liverpool who are on a tour in Switzerland.

There is strong speculation that Louis Enrique will be Hamoan's replacement IN A £6 MILLION DEAL and that De La Pena will bolster the midfield by agreeing to a years loan deal next week.

Rob Lee is to hold talks with Leicester regarding a move to the midlands club. Also in the Midlands Wolves have rejected Aston Villa's £5,2 million bid for Robbie Keane. They still want £6 million, could he also be one of Ruud's next targets? I hope so as Ferguson has still not fully recovered. he is expected to make an appearance next week at either Livingstone or Dundee.

Tonight Newcastle take on Dutch amateur team SV Deurne. The team is likely to be another mixture of reserves with a couple of old boys and possibly Dyer making his first appearance in a Newcastle shirt.

Once again Stevo will be sending in a report for:-Click here for the Pre season games

And Finally, it has been drawn to my attention that Screacher is in possession of a photograph that he CLAIMS is me lying in a kitchen sink asleep whilst under the influence of alcohol. If it should ever be published my solicitors will be taking appropriate action. You have been warned.

14th / 15th July

14th July and Hamoan is set to join Liverpool just as soon as DYER signs for Newcastle. The Liverpool bid of around £7.5 million is likely to have been accepted already by Newcastle who are waiting for Dyer to arrive and pass a medical before announcing the departure of Hamoan. A fee with Ipswich and terms with Dyer have been agreed.. Latest on Dyer is here

13th July Wednesday

You thought I was just kidding about liverpool, Fowler and Hamman didn't you? I have it on good authority that this has been discussed, although Houlier says Fowler is not for sale. He would like to get £5 million AND Hamoan for Robbie Fowler. Liverpool are currently training in Switzerland and Mr Houlier has let it be known that Fowler is on top form and that he's going nowhere in other words he's worth at least £12 million and won't be sold on the cheap. This is likely to put off Gullit who may simply decide to sell him to the highest bidder. The German national coach also seems to think that Hamman is going to Liverpool, has Hamoan been saying too much again? I expect something concrete to happen within a few days.

As for his replacement,

Youri DJORKAEFF ?

Date of Birth: March 9, 1968
Birthplace: Lyon, France
Height: 179 cm
Weight: 72 kg
Previous Clubs: Grenoble (France), Strasbourg (France), Monaco (France), Paris Saint Germain (France) Inter Milan (italy) Newcastle United ?

the next new player?

Click on Djorkaeff for more info

Inter Milan's 31 year old French midfielder Djorkaeff has been sugested as the replacement. Todays Journal states that Inter Milan may do a deal which would involve Pistone going back to Inter. Personally I don't think it will happen, No team in Italy will want the heartless one in their side especially not Inter Milan. He was on loan with Vicenza last season , had only one full game and was a sub twice. He hardly impressed them and when they saw his wage demands rapidly pulled out of any deal. I would think he will have to go on loan to a continental club for another season in the hope that he will impress someone somewhere. As for buying Djorkaeff, I think there is a strong possibility, he hasn't had such a good season in Italy. Hamoan's position looks like it will be filled with either the Frenchman or Kieron Dyer, he was seen in a fish and chip shop in ....... no just joking, everything on the Dyer front is very quiet, something will happen soon. And what about Michael Bridges? He turned down Spurs , hasn't said yes to Leeds, he's still available. The same goes for Robbie Keane, A £5.2 million bid by Villa has apparently been accepted by Wolves for the up and coming star. He expects around £10 grand a week which is s a lot of money for a 19 year old but a hell of a lot cheaper than going for some uncommitted foreign player. I am increasingly worried about the lack of depth in our forward line. Ketsbaia is decent cover for Ferguson and Shearer , after that though we have no one. Adde isn't up to it, neither are any of the youngsters and Saha is now back in training with Metz after Gullit pulled out of a permanent deal. We need a third top striker and we need one now. Within days both Bridges and Keane will both be sold. Either one would be just the type of player that we need. Young, committed , good quality strikers that won't have a problem settling into the side. A similar foreign player may well be half the price however we could end up with another JDT or Andersson. Is it worth the risk?

Monday 12th July

Dudi Hamoan is STILL making all the headlines today. He ISN'T as first thought in Newcastle avoiding training . Allegedly his wife is having problems with her pregnancy and he has been given compassionate leave of absence. All the rest of the lads (except Nobby) are off to a training camp in Holland from where they will be based to play a series of games starting on Thursday night against FC Bosch cordless screwdriver.

Mr Hamoan is very, very unlikely ever to play for Newcastle again, indeed I would go so far as to say if he should ever appear at St James' Park to play in a Black and white shirt, I shall scale one of the cranes that now tower the new stand wearing a red and white striped shirt and hang a banner saying RIK LOVES THE MAKEMS from the top. That's how sure I am he won't start next season. Latest in a string of clubs to want him is Borussia Dortmund. They join, Barcelona, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Fiorentina, Real Madrid ,www.nufc.com United and Celtic in the list of clubs wanting the extremely talented, lovely, future German captain and generally nice bloke's signature.

Later in the week I'll have some new pictures of the ground developments. They are lifting the roof off at the moment. Work is now slightly ahead of schedule and there may well be new seats available for some of the waiting list fans before the end of the forthcoming season.

YES six years on the season ticket waiting list is not a very nice , I can tell you. The days of seeing less than half a dozen home league games each year and St James' Parkhaving to queue up for up to three hours for cup tickets will soon be a thing of the past. I have a picture of the roof coming off , Click on SJP for a larger image.

Sunday 11th July

Elena MarcellinoNewcastle United's third defender Elena Marcelino was at the training ground yesterday. All the players baring Nobby Solano who is captain of the Peruvian national team are now back in training. All, that is with the notable exception of Duddi Hamoan. Although he is supposed to be in Newcastle at the moment he won't be here for long. Latest Gossip is that he will be used in a swap deal for ROBBIE FOWLER. The other option is a deal with Barcelona who are said to be interested also in a swap deal between Hamoan and Luis Enrique. The odds are very much against him playing for Newcastle again.

As for his replacement, if he isn't swapped for Enrique, I still feel that Kieron Dyer will be the man to fill the Germans place although reports from Italy say that Ivan De la Pena could come to Newcastle on a YEARS LOAN. I am sure Ruud would like to buy De la Pena but Lazio don't want to sell him. He is currently out of favour with Lazio current coach Sven Goram Eriksson and is unlikely to see much action next season. Coaches in Italy don't last too long and that is why Lazios President would be reluctant to sell one of the Roman clubs fans favorites.

On Friday the new away shirt went on sale. Did you hear about the lad who camped out for 4 days to get the first shirt?

I HAVE EXCLUSIVE rights to his diary. READ EXTRACTS HERE

Saturday, no news so I updated the Who should Ruud try to buy and sell." Page All the results have now been compiled and the page is now closed

Friday 9th July

Didi Hamoan has again pledged his future to Newcastle. He says that he isn't going on strike, he will be back to resume training tomorrow and he doesn't now want to leave Newcastle. Basically he wants us all to forget about him making anti Newcastle remarks last winter and more recently saying for that he wouldn't be playing for Newcastle because he wanted to play for Arsenal.

It looks like we are stuck with him for now. If I were manager I would keep him in the first team, keep him in the shop window, then sell him as soon as a decent offer comes in for him, relegating him the reserves will teach him a lesson, but who wants to pay £8 million for a reserve team player . As for forgiving him for his actions, BOLLOCKS, the bloke doesn't want us and we don't want him. He will never be forgiven by the fans.

What we could really use is a couple of committed BRITISH Players. OK so they are twice as much as the foreigners, but you know what you are getting and if you pay double money now , what will these youngsters be worth in future? VAST AMOUNTS if they fulfill their potential. The likes of Michael Owen , Sol Campbell and Rio Ferdinand are proof of that. Once that make the full International team then their price will double. There are still 3 decent young British players on the Market, Robbie Keane would cost £7 million, Kieron Dyer £6 million and Mickey bridges £4 million. Just how much could they be worth in the future? I think it's worth the risk , If just one of them becomes a mega star, you are looking at at least £20 million in this crazy world of football fees for talented players.

So HOWAY Freddy get yersell doon to Barclay's for a loan, After all , Ruud should manage to get something for all the misfits add to that the Hamoan money and you are looking at enough for ALL THREE.

Wednesday 7th July

No new Newcastle rumours today, So I'll have a quick swipe at the maKems.

Reports are coming through that they are about to sign a thirty four year old German has been, If it does happen the maKem fans will not be too pleased. They have been expecting some top players and they end up with a couple of has beens. OTHER maKem Stories are on the now nationally acclaimed SAD maKem B@st@rd web site.

The sale of Lee Clarke has gone through. Clarkies Old team mate at both Newcastle and Sunderland Paul Bracewell signed him up for next years premiership promotion favorites Fulham.

Leeds have said they won't up the offer on Mickey Bridges which opens the door for Mr Gullit to make a move for the Whitley bay born young striker whom he has expressed admiration for in the past

Tuesday 6th July

Franck DumasThese are the first pictures of new boys Franck Dumas and Alain Goma taken in the lovely new training tops , Franck looks pretty mean and looks set to become the new hard man at the back of the defence. In a brief interview, he said "Twenty Galloise si vous plais"

Alain Goma His younger French team mate Alain Goma who does not speak as much English was asked in French what his first impressions of Newcastle were. He said he is very happy to be at such a fine club, very impressed with the training methods and facilities. Extremely surprised about the lovely weather and most of all Gobsmacked at how beautiful the women "Doon the Bigg market" are. This was a major factor in him deciding to join Newcastle. The reputation of the Geordie lasses for being absolute stunners is renown worldwide he allegedly commented.

Lee Clark in that shirt

AND FINALLY, Lee Clarke looks likely to snub both Fulham and Celtic. Both clubs have apparently put in £3 million bids in for the Wantaway Geordie Hero,( who is today sporting another new controversial shirt.) Clarkie would prefer to play in the premier league and is hopeful that either Newcastle, Villa or Leeds will put a firm bid in for him. Ironically Dalglish, the man who sold him when at Newcastle is after him for Celtic. The new Celtic SOCIAL MANAGER (what a stupid title) Terry Mac will try to persuade old friend Clarkie to go North of the border, Lee Clarke looks unlikely to change his mind though.

Monday 5th July

Monday July 5th sees ALL of the Newcastle players return to the training ground. Well they are all supposed to be back, however Hamman says he wont play for Newcastle again, that's fine by most of the fans, rest of the players and Ruud Gullit. He is the Boss and I can't see him putting up with theses kind of anti Newcastle comments. I say sell him to another premiership club, let them have all the hassle. As long as we get a few million extra to invest in more committed players then that would be fine.

Also asked to return is Georgiadis, who's move to salonika was never more than an enquiry and Des Hamilton whose interest from Southampton has cooled.

Albert AND LEE could have both been sold to Fulham, Newcastle asked too much for Albert a few months back and Robert Lee decided to stay at Newcastle . The fee of a million had been set , but Rob could not agree terms. I can't see him getting many a game next season, but don't begrudge such a loyal player from holding out for a better deal.

Indeed i have heard that WATFORD want to take him back down south and would be prepared to offer him a very good deal.

Others that still haven't found a new home are Carl Serrant who was hoping to move either back to Bradford or down to huddesfield and Nic the Greek who was expected to move back to Greece.

Worst of all though are Andreas Anderson who was interesting Stuttgart until they heard how much Newcastle were paying him., and heartless Pistone who has attracted little interest from any team despite having millions knocked off his asking price. He had been on loan at Vicenza but they can not afford either his hefty wage demands or the £2 million rock bottom price that Newcastle are asking.

Hot on the who's coming list is a trio that would cost £15 million . The Barcelona pair of Enrique and Reizinger are allegedly the subject of a £8.5 million bid by Newcastle United along with Kieron Dyer who will be sold within the next fortnight.

This site will be updated once again every day, now that the team is back in training their should be plenty of Gossip every day. The first of the Pre season games is in Holland against FC den Bosch on the night of 15th July (MY BIRTHDAY BY THE WAY ) I TAKE A SIZE "FAT BLERK" if you are thinking of buying me one of those nice shiny new white away shirts that go on sale on the 9th of July.

And Finally heard about the new Alan Shearer?

Gosforth born 15 year old Schoolboy Mike Chopra, he goes to the same school as Shearer did, plays centre forward for ENGLAND school boys , he scored 4 goals in a schoolboy international tournament over the last few days at Wembley. including 2 against China, one against France and a winning goal in the last minute of the FINAL against the Argies on Sunday.

Unlike shearer though this budding star hasn't escaped the North east, he is a on the Newcastle United books, and hopefully A star for the future
