I have known Arjanne van der Spek for a number of years. I regard her work as very valuable, it isn't cloistered and set apart, it is work that relates to life now and expresses the spirit of our time. I hold Arjanne in great regard not only for her controversial work but also because of her courage in bouncing back from a very nasty road accident in 1996. She's brilliant.
