Characters on Rugged Island

Rugged Island like Craggy Island has a parochial house and three priests, Father Dick Byrne, Father Cyril Macduff and Father Jim Johnson. Cyril and Jim are like Dougal and Jack: they are Rugged Island's resident skateboarder and alcoholic respecitively.

Bishop Brennan

Bishop Brennan appears in several episodes of Father Ted. He is 'the boss' and it was him that ensured Ted, Dougal and Jack were banished to the island for their various crimes in the priesthood. Notable appearances are in 'The Passion of St Tibulus' where he relies on them to carry up a protest against an X-rated film outside Craggy Island cinema, and in 'Tentacles of Doom' where the holy stone of Clanrichert is upgraded to a class II relic.

Father Paul Stone

Father Stone comes to stay on Craggy Island for several weeks every year. Ted and Dougal always dread this time, as he is the most boring preist ever, and impossible to get rid of, leaving them trying to conjure up pathetic excuses as to why he can't stay.

Father Damo

The somewhat rebellious Father Damo has a bad influence on Dougal when he appears in the episode titled 'The Old Grey Whistle Theft". Ted remins Dougal that it is only when Dougal starts acting like a 26 year old will he start being treated like one...
