Support

Please Note: If you find any bugs or glitches in Deadsoft software, please let me know so that I can fix them- It simply is not possible to test every eventuality.

Help Files

It has been discovered that when included with installer routines, the help files are not installed correctly and so pressing F1 brings up an error. This isn't Deadsoft only- Other TGF users I know actually alerted me to the problem after finding out for themselves, and so I have uploaded each of the documents here.
Download chrishelp.zip 5Kb, .WRI help file for CHRIS. Requires Winzip but not The Games Factory, you don't even need CHRIS but it's a bit pointless otherwise. As yet I haven't worked out how to make it available within the game (any ideas?) , so just load it in word instead.
Download sbv2help.zip 23Kb, .WRI help file for SPDeatthmatch V2.1 . Requires Winzip but not The Games Factory, you don't even need SPSB but it's a bit pointless otherwise. As yet I haven't worked out how to make it available within the game (any ideas?) , so just load it in word instead.

CHRIS Specifications

CHRIS is a highly visual game and as such requires considerable power. It has been successfully tested with the following configuration:

Intel P200 MMX PC with 32Mb RAM, 2Mb Cirrus Logic 2D Graphics Card @ a resolution of 640X480, Win'95, SB16 pro soundcard and Rockwell MIDI card.

The minimum specification has not been fully determined, though the following are essential:
Win'95 or Win'98 as this is 32bit software (Not yet tested with Win32s).
A minimum screen resolution of 640X480.
Windows Compatible Soundcard (only essential is you want sound- which you probably do)

A version of CHRIS is not yet available for the Mac, and probably never will be unless GFactory is released on that platform. Note that in some of the 'arcade' levels the scrolling will be sluggish- this is generally the case with GF games, so either try a massive resolution, or turn off the sound effects (CTRL-S) or music (CTRL-M) to take off some of the processor load. I am unaware of RAM restraints- I imagine 16Mb will be sufficient but am unsure about 8Mb. 3D graphics cards are not neccessary. Please let me know how well your system runs this game as I am eager to find the lowest level it will go to (as well as how fast it runs on superior machines): Just a short mail with a description similar to that above and a comment will be fine!
