Father Jim with Rachel Walker (Blackburn Residential Rehab Manager) & Darren Parry (Salford Services Manager)

We congratulate our Blackburn & Salford Service managers. They recently received excellent CQC inspection reports. The Care Quality Commission carried out two unannounced inspections and found our services of high standard. They were particularly interested in the positive feedback from service users.

John Riach is our clinical psychologist providing   invaluable support to staff within clinical   supervision.

THOMAS places a high priority on staff support and   we are constantly exploring how we can improve   our practice. Clinical supervision helps us   understand the professional issues staff can face   on the frontline. It also gives an opportunity to   discuss alternative models in working practice.

We welcome Claire Chapman and Margaret Jameson to our Blackburn Team.  Claire & Margaret work within our Supported Housing Scheme providing housing related support to people across Blackburn with Darwen.

Claire has joined us from the Salvation Army and Margaret is a graduate of our Preston Recovery Programme.

Beverley Suddick has been appointed our new   Drop-in-Centre Coordinator (Blackburn).

The Drop-in  feeds an average 60 people a day. An   increasing number of people struggling with   government changes to benefits now access the   project.

There is also a large number of Eastern Europeans   coming to the centre. THOMAS is hoping to recruit   a Polish interpreter  to work with us.

Oliver has moved to Manchester to facilitate our Recovery Programme in Partnership with Lifeline.

He is based in the centre of the city in Oldham Street. Oliver was one of our first graduates and is a great ambassador for THOMAS.

Kevin has moved from Preston to facilitate our   Wigan Programme in Partnership with Addaction.

He is a graduate of THOMAS and has worked with   us in Blackburn, Blackpool and Preston He brings a   wealth of experience to recovery facilitation.

Hanif has opened an outreach surgery in Darwen Lancashire. It is producing excellent results with regards to service users accessing main stream services.

He is working very closely with Job Centre Plus and continues to fly the flag for THOMAS, providing housing support and helping people access our recovery services.

He is also our lead on multi culture and diversity.

Gavin Morton our Services Manager is the lead on   this project. The team will work with Inspire in   partnership with CRI. Our MET programme will   work with a variety of service users.

We also intend to develop an abstinence based   community in North Lancashire.
