These RATES are fully inclusive of bed and breakfast and no taxes are due. We regret that we cannot accept children younger than 15 years old to stay, for the peace and relaxation of other guests and also as we have some fragile antique furniture and china on display.

Usual CHECK-IN TIME is after 4pm and CHECK-OUT is by 10am.

We accept advance BOOKINGS for stays of two or more nights but, for one night stays, can accept bookings only within a day or two of the date of stay.

RESERVATIONS AND BOOKING: To reserve a room, we require a deposit of 25 pounds per room in the form of a personal cheque in pounds sterling, drawn on a UK bank, payable to J. Elmslie or by travellers cheques in pounds sterling or by Visa or Mastercard. If sending details of credit cards then we will direct you to our secure server once we have confirmed availability with you.

CANCELLATION: If you are obliged to cancel or curtail your stay, for whatever reason, then we would be grateful for as much notice as possible in order to try to relet the room. Any advance deposit paid will be refunded if the accommodation is relet, subject to any expenses. Please note that in the event of cancellation or cutailment the proprietor is legally obliged to try to relet the room but is entitled to compensation up to 75% of the booking value if it cannot be relet. This may be done via your credit card. In the event of a “no show” without notification, then the whole amount of the booking becomes due. We advise taking out travel insurance as soon as you start to book your holiday so that you are covered for all deposits and bookings you have made.

The remaining BALANCE due may be paid by cash in sterling, by travellers’ cheques in pounds sterling, by personal cheque on a UK bank (supported by a bank cheque guarantee card to the full amount) or by Visa or Mastercard. We pass on the 2% bank charges for credit card payment.
