FreeSpeed Pro

Several products on the web are available to allow successful clocking of Athlons, many being sold in mass, but which look like, and are built like prototypes. FreeSpeed has been through the prototype stage and evolved into a professionally designed and produced unit. FreeSpeed is constructed using a custom made, dual sided PCB with surface mount components and ISO quality control standards, and, unlike other cards of this type, can be added to any existing CPU without complicated modification, or having to buy a pre-modified Athlon.

Freespeeds Function ?
FreeSpeed allows both Multiplier and Core Voltage adjustment of all Athlons, unlocking your CPUs hardware locked speed. This in effect will turn your Athlon into a model that would cost alot more to buy.

Why Overclock ?
Athlons are a very well made CPU. Manufacturers of CPUs don't make different clock speed models as would appear by the huge range of speeds available, they make one!. The CPUs are then tested and sorted into batches that run stable at a required speed, and sold at a preset price. You may then think that you could not overclock a CPU which failed at higher speeds than marked ? , but this is where it gets good. The Manufactures yield rates get so good, i.e.- most their CPUs run so well at high speeds, they just "down badge" processors to meet demand and not to flood the market with fast models (which they can charge a premium price for). For these reasons, the later your Athlon was made, the higher the clock speeds you should be able to reach.

As you can see this means even slower Athlons most likely have a lot more speed available than is being sold. This is where the Athlon excels. Athlon CPUs are very "kind" to clocking, commonly gaining 350Mhz over there rated speed. Athlons are also THE fastest performing CPU Mhz for Mhz that money can buy, beating every offering Intel can offer (tragic ;)

Why Should I Choose FreeSpeed ?
We feel FreeSpeed is by far the best card on the market for the following reasons:-

1. It's a full production unit made with Surface Mounted components for ultra reliability.
2. It's not a prototype and hand built like others.
3. It's reliable, with a lifetime guarantee against mechanical failure
4. It's the cheapest card on the market
5. It's the smallest card on the market (less than half the size of a credit card)
6. Shipment is free, others charge up to $30!
7. No soldering is needed
8. There is not a single wire on the unit (unlike others), adds to reliability

9. We deal with every one of our customers on a 1 to 1 basis, personally answering every enquiry.

10. ISO Accredited Quality Control used during manufacture.

About FreeSpeed
When a FreeSpeed card is fitted your lowly Athlon 500 (relatively  :) , it can become anything from a 650Mhz Athlon to a screaming 850Mhz Athlon (depending on your CPUs age), which would cost much more to buy than you paid for your 500Mhz model. Our 500Mhz model hits 800Mhz with standard cooling and runs completely stable, only needing a small increase in core voltage.

FreeSpeed Pro can be used on ANY Athlon CPU, and although we cannot guarantee set speeds your Athlon will be able to attain, you will get a huge hike in MHz. You can see some benchmarks here.  Fitting is simplicity itself, involving solely removing the rear plastic casing on your Athlon and slotting the FreeSpeed on top. No soldering or skills of any kind are required to fit the unit.
